Follow the adventures of Remo "The Destroyer" Williams' children as they train in the sunsource of all martial arts, Sinanju, working for a secret Government agency to protect America.

In Overload, Stone and Freya face an unlikely foe: washed up Hollywood action-star Stevie Sturgeon, who has his sights set on Freya as a way to get revenge on Bill Roam, the Master of a rare Native American version of Sinanju. Marta Tandori Hi Everyone - My new book, NO HARD FEELINGS, the second book in the Kate Stanton Mystery series, is free on Amazon from May 18 - 22, 2014. This standalone mystery involves Kate Stanton, the feisty semi-retired real estate broker and her two granddaughters, Liz Farrell and Kare Devane. I invite you to check it out. Here's a bit about the book:

Some secrets can’t stay hidden, especially when they involve murder…Liz Farrell is still reeling over the murder of her mother almost a year earlier at the hands of her father, Leo Bauer, when she receives the startling news that she’s inherited her estranged father’s sizable estate. Unable to come to terms with her father’s unspeakable legacy, Liz and her grandmother, Kate Stanton, visit Leo’s property in Benedict Canyon, desperately hoping to find closure. Instead, they find a bunker hidden under an old hunting lodge that had been used by Leo at one time to hold Liz’s mother captive. Horrified by the discovery, Liz immediately orders the bunker filled and the lodge destroyed but the ensuing demolition quickly comes to a grinding halt after a man’s remains are discovered in a shallow grave at the base of the old lodge. Once the press get wind of the gruesome discovery, rumors quickly surface, linking the remains to a murder spree that took place at the same address almost half a century earlier; a murder spree conveniently covered up by the governor at the time who also happened to be Leo Bauer’s stepbrother. Liz and Kate’s efforts to uncover the truth behind the murders are soon hampered by family secrets and a killer who’s intent on finishing the job started almost fifty years ago.

E.D. Ward The Gingerbread House by E. D. Ward E. D. Ward

www.officialgingerbreadhouse.com

I am an Oxford based artist who has only in the last three years become drawn to the medium of writing.

After ten years of working as a fine artist, one day I stumbled upon an idea for promoting my art involving characters within a story based setting. I had been reading a lot of Nordic Noir and slowly, with the Scandinavian crime thriller in the back of my mind, my idea, which initially was born out of a need to promote only my art, suddenly took on a life of its own.

With the Scandinavian crime thriller as my model, I slowly set about writing 'The Gingerbread House', a fictional crime story where the protagonist, Thomas Lyndon, an unknown artist, is confronted by the devastating news that Katherine, his girlfriend, is missing. Suddenly thrown into a world of cryptic clues left by Katherine in the form of an email, he sets about discovering the reason for her disappearance. But even Thomas's creative mind could not have imagined the world of pain he is about to uncover.

As the story took shape, I rediscovered my own dark past as I looked deeper into the characters, adding parts of my life where necessary to make the characters seem more real; this brought me once again face to face with my own demons. But this time, as I brought my painful past back to life, to my surprise I found it more therapeutic than uncomfortable.

Having bought into the realistic style of the Scandinavian crime genre, it then took me two years to complete the book. I can now say that I am completely hooked on my new medium. And to think if I hadn't stumbled across Nordic Noir, I probably would never have discovered the writer in me.

Amy Shojai Hey there, y'all, this is a great thread! I'll have to do some browsing to add to my Kindle.

I've got 27 nonfiction pet care/behavior books (yes, I've been around a looong time...in dog years I should be dead!). And because I'm a certified animal behavior consultant, my THRILLERS WITH BITE! feature a behaviorist partnered with a service dog (he helps with her PTSD). So far, there are two books in my September Day dog viewpoint series.

Lost And Found by Amy Shojai The first is LOST AND FOUND in which an autistic boy and his service dog disappear in a blizzard.

“Amy Shojai’s LOST AND FOUND wraps family secrets, murder, and medical miracles around the small form of an autistic child. Riveting, heart-wrenching, and brilliant, here is the debut of a stunning talent.”
–James Rollins, New York Times bestseller of Bloodline

Hide And Seek (The September Day Series, #2) by Amy Shojai The sequel is HIDE AND SEEK, continuing the story where the past comes back to bite her, and September and her service dog must unravel what's behind Alzheimer's-like contagion.

Jim liked this one, too! *vbg*

“HIDE AND SEEK proves Shojai’s masterful skill at blending ripped-from-the-headlines urgency with an emotional story of real characters in escalating dangers. Add in revelatory dose of animal psychology and behavior, and you have a thriller that had me turning pages deep into the night. Here is a novel written with authority and with a deft brilliance that any lover of animals or nerve-jangling thrillers will cherish.” –James Rollins, New York Times bestseller of “The Eye of God”

I hope you enjoy the books and share your thoughts! Oh, you can find me at my BLING, BITCHES & BLOOD BLOG at http://amyshojai.com

I will also be serializing Exit Strategy on my website starting Friday, June 13th. To read it in that form, follow my narrative persona, @GETExitStrategy, on Twitter for daily installments and more.

I have an interesting social engagement planned for the serialization. I’m calling it DIY metafiction. In a nutshell, it’s an experiment in using social media to create Borges’ Garden of Forking Paths collaboratively and online. Email me, if you’re intrigued and would like to get involved. You can also just follow @GETExitStrategy on Twitter and jump in when you are ready.

And lastly, I am running a Giveaway until Friday, June 13, offering five autographed copies of the novel.

Exit Strategy Synopsis: Berkeley House is an exclusive private club in Mayfair that has been at the heart of London’s dotcom scene since day dot (the mid-90s). Its members are the city’s elite venture capitalists, entrepreneurs, blue chip execs, and new media types. Its owner, Daniel Logan, has wired the club for surveillance. From his penthouse, he watches and listens to everything, uses it for his own ends. Insider trading, scandal, extortion, blackmail, bribery—nothing is off limits in his quest for wealth and power.

Marta Tandori It's Not TOO LITTLE, TOO LATE - Still only 0.99!!

It’s not TOO LITTLE, TOO LATE – Read the gripping page turner that spawned the Kate Stanton Mystery Series – still only 0.99!!

If you thought the Vanger family in Stieg Larsson’s THE GIRL WITH THE DRAGON TATTOO was dysfunctional, you haven’t met the powerful Bauer family or their gutsy adversary, Kate Stanton, who’s determined to vindicate the deaths of her mother and sister and, in the process, uncovers some ugly family secrets dating back to the Second World War. Below are a few of the reviews for TOO LITTLE, TOO LATE:

“Wonderful book!!! I wish I could give it a ten rating. What an exciting story. I couldn't put it down. And since I have already read the second book, I know how all the characters finally end up. I would recommend, however, that reading this book first would be much better.” – Amazon

“Oh my GOD. Right from the first few chapters, this book nauseated me, horrified me, filled my head with graphic images that I'm sure I won't be able to erase for a few months, and made me want to throw my Kindle every time a new plot twist clicked in my head, which seemed to be every few pages. And yet, I couldn't bring myself to stop reading, I just had to keep going to see what happened next! All the characters with seemingly unrelated lives, that seemed as though they'd be brought together so loosely, merged together in a way I could have never imagined! If that last line turns out to be a cliffhanger for a sequel, I'm going to hide in my closet for a week and think carefully about if I'm really ready to experience that kind of emotional roller-coaster a second time just because this book was so beautifully written!” – Goodreads

“Reading “Too Little, Too Late” answered so many questions. But beyond that I have to remind you again that I thought “No Hard Feelings” was a page-turner. So to now describe the experience of reading “Too Little, Too Late”, I either have to create a brand new term for the phrase ‘page-turner’ or at the very least I should totally spell out the entire definition of a ‘page-turner’. The definition absolutely must equal the adjectives of gripping, exciting, thriller, rapid-fire action, the power of suspense, add in some HCM – Heart-Clutching Moments (and I can’t take credit for this term), and compelling plot. The whole of that definition becomes the extraordinary “Too Little, Too Late”.” - LibraryThing

“This is an amazingly written book. I was gripped from page one until the last page, but left wanting more. This story is full of twists and is such an exciting read. I look forward to reading more from this author.” – Amazon

See for yourself what everyone’s raving about and get your copy while it’s still on sale!

message 130: by E.J. (new)

E.J. Fisch Hey everyone! I've recently published the first book in a trilogy of thrillers that I've been developing for close to 8 years now. It takes place in a sci-fi setting and centers around a race of superhuman people from another galaxy. Here's the synopsis from the back cover:

The distant world of Haphez is located on the edge of populated space. The planet's native superhuman race is feared and respected by neighboring civilizations. Their military and police forces are unmatched.

Lieutenant Aroska Tarbic is an agent with the revered Haphezian Special Police. He's lost a lot in a short period of time; the other members of his squad were killed in a tragic accident, and his younger brother was wrongfully convicted and executed for a crime he didn't commit. Just when Aroska thinks he's starting to piece his life back together, he's assigned to a joint task force with a special operations team. It seems like a unique opportunity, at least until he learns that his new commander is none other than Ziva Payvan, HSP's finest operative... and the assassin who killed his brother.

Ziva is good at her job, a business that requires her to ignore her feelings and carry out her missions without question. She's confident in her own abilities to complete the assignment, but Aroska is a wildcard. When their team stumbles across a young human during a routine investigation, they soon realize that the situation isn't what it seems. The boy has unwittingly uncovered an age-old plot, one that could put the entire Haphezian race in jeopardy.

Now the lines between friend and foe have become blurred, and no one can be trusted. United by the imminent threat, Ziva and Aroska must set their differences aside in order to save their people... and maybe even each other.

All roads lead to... DAKITI

I invite everyone to check it out! Both the paperback and Kindle versions are available on Amazon!
