I am from and live in Germany, in a small town near Cologne. I was born here, moved away for a couple of years to study and have returned about 3 years ago.

Not that I remember. I visited a lot of old castles with my parents when I was a child and it might be that I was there, but I couldn't really say. Then again, we have a lot of old castles here in Germany :). For example, there is Burg Drachenfels near Bonn, which is where I studied. It's well worth a visit and has a beautiful view over the Rhine valley.
Europe here. Mostly read in English though, especially for horror. My local bookstore's "horror" section is three Stephen King novels and a Dean Koontz, so Goodreads and online communities are where I actually find new stuff. Currently deep into a weird fiction phase. House of Leaves is still my all-time favorite, but The Fisherman by John Langan gave it serious competition last year.
Upstate NY and I can't help but wonder if I'm not the only one in this group in my area because when I went to check my local library for the availability of this months group read selections they both were checked out around the same time they were announced. Not trying to be a creep and stalk/track anyone down I swear. It could easily just be an interesting coincidence and can remain that. Anyway, being an upstate New Yorker made it fun reading The Fisherman and being able to recognize the names of various real world locations referenced.
