Debra Hi everyone!

My name is Debra Harkins and I write in four genres: Children's fiction, YA nonfiction, history, and psychology.

I live right outside Boston, MA with my husband and two mini golden doodles.

I love reading, writing, children, animals and connecting with indies especially children's authors, readers and illustrators and helping others with writing.

Looking forward to making long-term connections here.

Nina Hobson Hi everyone. I'm Nina Hobson from Ohio. I a full-time writer of soft/quiet horror, Speculative fiction, Post Apocalyptic & Dystopian fiction, YA & New Adult Monster Romance, and Paranormal Horror. I believe in going all in to achieve my goals. I have 15 books on Amazon - which are still works-in-progress, but I'm very proud of them. I enjoy reading in the same genres the majority of the time, and I'm a sucker for zombies.

However, between you, me, and whatever's lurking behind me right now, I can't write them but I love, Love, LOVE to read Cozy Mysteries. They are my guilty pleasure and they make me feel all gooey inside. I can read an entire one of these books in a day while drinking tea and eating Lorna Doone cookies (teehee).

I look forward to learning to network as an author (that's a problem for me). I'm very excited to be part of this group. Thanks for having me :)

Trisha

Hi all! My name is Trisha, and I’m from New Hampshire originally but currently living in Europe to study literature. I am in love with ALL genres, but I’ll grab fantasy, historical fiction, or mysteries most readily at the moment.

I just started my own blog where I review books and pair them with drinks (cocktails, wine, sodas, etc): www.buzzedbooks.com. I love nothing more than to read and chat about books :)

Gabby Carter Hi everyone!

I’m gabby for the most part I read fantasy and YA however I do dabble a little bit in everything and tend to surprise myself when I pick up a book genre I don’t usually read and end up loving it!

I do book reviews and books staging most just as a hobby but if you would like to take a look find me on Instagram 🥰gc_bookreview

If you have any favorite books I’d love to hear about them! My TBR might but several miles long but I’d love to add yours!

Lisa Wright Hi everyone! I am an author and educator and just published my first middle grade fiction book--The Totally True Tales of my Cheerleader Life 1: Are You Ready?--the first book in the series (Amazon--Lisa Wright Cheer). I have previously published nonfiction (parenting book and workbook). I am learning to navigate the publishing/marketing/promoting world and am looking to connect with others who know the way through it all better than I do or who want to read my book/give me feedback/etc. I am glad I have found this group! I would love to get some feedback on my fiction book and best practices for reaching middle grade readers/parents/librarians/etc. (I've been researching on my own and see that there are many avenues to take.) Thank you for looking and connecting with me! http://bit.ly/TotallyTrueTales www.lisawrightauthor.com xoxo

message 3970: by Nancy (new)

Nancy Hello, everyone!
My name is Nancy, and I am an author assistant, as well as an avid reader. I help authors find reviewers for their books, in all genres, so give me a shout-out if you are looking for books to review and let me know what genre you prefer.
I review books on my blog and on Instgram (more so IG these days!)

Thanks,
Nancy

message 3971: by Brian (new)

Brian Hi everyone!
I'm Brian and I have just started reviewing books on Goodreads as a hobby - mostly because I enjoy exploring stories and worlds by new authors. I read a wide variety of genres, but lately I have been a fan of crossover genres (e.g. sci-fi + romance/erotica or paranormal + romance/erotica). I'm a huge fan of The Lord of the Rings and Harry Potter while being moderately interested in titles like The Mortal Instruments series. I have been known to completely immerse myself in a book series and not emerge until I have completed the series...or at times an author's entire body of work.

As fun as doing reviews for published books can be, I'm especially excited for any beta read opportunities. I'd love to have the opportunity to potentially shape the final version of a book!

message 3972: by Mark (new)

Mark Cushen Hi everyone!

I'm Mark, an avid reader of fantasy, and a soon-to-be self-published author.

I joined Goodreads to find book recommendations through people's reviews, and to join a community of like-minded readers.

I'm looking forward to making some new virtual book buddies :)

message 3974: by Anurag Gupta (last edited Nov 23, 2020 11:04PM) (new)

Anurag Gupta Hi!
I’m a person who’s VERY new to this. I was sent here from a blog on how to get arcs to review. You see, I love books! I’m into YA fiction, mostly fantasy :P, and Iove any book that lets me escape reality! I also write, I’m told I’m good at horror, but I have not gathered the courage to publish anything yet, haha. Anyway, I am REALLY confused on how to get arcs to review, how this all works and what to do to be a good professional reader! The moment I found out that you can get books to REVIEW and you can be a professional book reviewer I knew I had to start doing this. I am very lost and need to get at least one arc to start. (I dont even know how to DM people and stuff). Basically, I have no idea what to do. So, thanks for coming to my TED talk and please tell me how to start this amazing journey and get ARCs and I wont disappoint you!

HI Anurag, all you need to do is look through the listing under each different genre and when you find one you like and would read and review, leave your name email address and format you would prefer.

Cece ❀Rants, Raves &Reviews❀ I’m Cece from Portland, and I write reviews.
I find that I pick books based in moods rather than genres. I often go through “book stages” where first I’ll be in a Dragon mood then move into vampires then into witches, etc. Rinse, repeat, victory
