Shawn Amick Hello! My name is Shawn Amick and I am co-authoring "Dick, Stan Greene" with Terry Rogers. This is a Post-Modern Noir story told by an enigmatic narrator following the adventures of Stan Green, Private Eye, and his reluctance to accept his partner Will, Virtual Gaming Icon from Carbon Copy.

The setting of the story takes place in Potstow, a speculative, growing, fictional, Rocky Mountain town teeming with success from the local legalization of marijuana with a focus on green energy and self-sufficiency though a hemp based industry that has led to such conventions as "The Cannibus".

This isn't going to be your typical worn-down detective story. Stan is no hero. Not everyone agrees with the path Potstow has taken. Read it for yourself and begin to make up your own mind, deciding what you believe to be true.

Jane Wood Could someone please tell what the acceptable time limit is for waiting for a review to come back?
Are there rules for reviewers or can they take as long as they want?
Just wondered. Thanks, Jane.

message 3920: by Kelly (new)

Kelly Hello Fellow Readers and Writers,
Kelly here. I live in NJ- just a few minutes from the sea, and work at a small library in a big library system. I suppose my sweet spot is literary fiction, however I certainly appreciate a good Young Adult read. I also enjoy Historical Fiction and the Classics. I've been enjoying writing book reviews as of late and have high hopes it will parlay me into writing that novel I almost believe is inside me.
It's great to be here and connect!

Daniel Greenbrook Hello everyone,

I've been around here for a while -- I'm running the second ARR session right now -- but never introduced myself.

I'm an author; I'm in the middle of writing an epic/dark fantasy series and will also publish a sci-fi/dystopian novella later this year. I hope I'll meet interesting people, both colleagues and other professionals, over here on Goodreads.

That's pretty much all there is to tell. If you're interested in any of my books, I have a short series starter that's free on almost every retailer (The Day You Were Born), and I'm giving away review copies for its follow up over here: https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/....

Take your pick, if you so desire. Otherwise, see you around.

Tana Hello All new members, welcome to the group!

Phoenix (Books with Wings) Hello there everyone!
I just joined this group yesterday but didn't introduce myself.
Warning, I may not be here for a long time. I'm trying to stay off of goodreads groups. However I joined this group for a short time to tell you about a challenge you might be interested in. It's a reading challenge that I came up with on my blog and I'm afraid that not many people are going to participate...it's my first challenge and I don't have many followers on my blog so I don't think that many people will decide to do it. That being said, if you do think it looks interesting and want to at least try it out, I'd be so happy! If not, please at least check out my blog and consider following it. It's a blog for YA book reviews and there will be blog posts and some author interviews. Also, I am willing to review people's books if they want me to, however I will only review middle grade and young adult. And I hold the right to say no to anyone who comes to me asking to review my book. I will review mostly fantasy and some contemporary. No romance (though if there is romance in the fantasy/contemporary novel that's fine--it just can't be the center) unless it is LGBTQ+ romance.
Sorry for this super long post. Anyways if you want to check out the contest you can find it here: https://yabookswithwings.wordpress.co...
And the rest of my blog is found here: https://yabookswithwings.wordpress.com/

I am new to reviewing and connecting with the book community, so any tips would be appreciated!
