Tori Rainn Hello everyone. I've been a part of this group but haven't been active. I'm hoping to be more active here this time around and thought I'd get started by introducing myself.

My name is Tori. I write fantasy but I also dabble in sci-fi, horror, paranormal, and dystopian. I love to read just about anything. Fantasy, romance. Reading suspense thrillers is my favorite, especially if it has a combo of horror. I'm traditionally published with The Wild Rose Press. I'm the author of "Curse of the Blacknoc Witch." I'm currently working on a YA fantasy involving two siblings who were selected to fight in an ancient challenge.

I look forward to making new connections here. :)

Amberia Hi everyone! I’m Amberia, I’m a 20 year old Psychology major and I live in Vancouver, Canada!
I was born in the UK, and grew up surrounded by British literature and the sites and settings that inspired so many of the great classic authors.

My love of reading has continued, and while my favourites are the classics, I love reading contemporary novels and non-fiction as well!

I’ve recently created a book blog on Instagram
(@/amberiasbookstagram) to share my love of reading while self-isolating, and have made so many great bibliophile friends! I’m excited to continue my journey into the bookish community here on Goodreads :)

Tatiana Kutsenko Hi everyone!
I'm Tania, a Psychology teacher currently living in China. I love reading and writing.
During the lockdown period in March I was staying with my son and working from home. One day, just before his 6th birthday, he made up a story that was so awesome that I thought, "OMG, I need to write it down!" Then my friends (professional writers) read it and encouraged me to publish it.
And here I am, 3 months later, with the story and amazing illustrations that make my 1st book ever!
Can't express how exciting I am! Would be happy to connect with other writing and reading booklovers here. Cheers:)

My first attempt at this genre. Fingers crossed readers will like it. Especially when it is at .99 cents until its release date.

message 3828: by Papikins (new)

Papikins Poetry Hi. I'm Papikins. I've been writing on and off for about 17 years, and the truth is that I have no idea what I'm doing. I've always wanted to connect to people through writing, and I somehow managed to do that. It's been a weird journey for me. I'm pretty much an emotional enigma, but that's what people love about me. I'm sort of big on Instagram, I guess. It's surreal how over 31,000 people have given me a chance to show them what I'm all about on there.
www.instagram.com/papikins

I'm trying to figure out a way to actually release a book that I'm currently working on, but the problem is that I never read anything. I've never actually been into reading, and that pretty much hinders me. Writing is about emotion for me, so I try not to influence my thoughts through external outlets.

message 3829: by Sydney (new)

Sydney Leibforth Hi, I'm Sydney. I love to write and I do it basically every day. I typically write about my dreams from the night before and I build a story out of it. It's pretty cool because I can also lucid dream.

I also love to read! I'll read many genres but my favorite is YA. But I will read literally anything.

Anyways, I'm really excited to join this group and learn lots of new things from different people!

I'm Aditi, and I'm here because I love books just as much as you. I'm currently working on a romance novel of my own. I love reading almost every genre, mainly romance, fantasy, suspense, and young adult. But honestly, give me almost any book and I'll probably devour it.

I have been a singer/songwriter for the last 25 years and I have now transitioned into "published author" fulfilling a bucket list dream of mine that I have had for the last 30 years. Even though I am late to the game, I still find a child-like excitement in the pit of my stomach at the launch of my first book. Come say hi! Happy to interact with all of you and share all the great books I've read and enjoyed.

Super happy to be here ;)

message 3841: by Debra (new)

Debra Castaneda Hi Everyone,

I've finally made the transition from working in news to writing fiction so I finally have the time to do the stuff I love: read, make up stories and discover new books on Goodreads. My first novel is a YA supernatural mystery. Going the indie route on that one and now trying to figure out how to get reviews. (I hope it's easier than trying to find a title that isn't already taken!)

I'm currently working on a supernatural novella set in Chavez Ravine in Los Angeles (where Dodger Stadium now sits) and I'm half way through a soft sci fi novel set in the rural west.

Home is the central coast of California. My favorite genres are mystery, paranormal/supernatural, sci fi, fantasy and a bit of romance.

I'm glad to be here! And thank you moderators for the time you spend on this group.

message 3842: by Sasha (new)

Sasha Hello! My name is Sasha, and for as long as I can remember, I've LOVED reading. Much of my childhood was spent in a library, and my mother would constantly have to remind me not to check out too many books at once--not because I wouldn't read them all in two weeks, but rather because she was afraid I would misplace them. I also adore writing, and whilst my recent works have all been for the realm of academia (research papers, journal-type writing, etc.), I have always loved to create fantasy worlds and characters in my head, and I have been slowly fleshing those ideas out onto paper. My favorite books to read are fantasy, YA, classics (I'm a fan of Anna Karenina, Le Morte D'Arthur, The Count of Monte Cristo, Les Mis, For Whom the Bell Tolls, etc.), and nonfiction books. I love to read, and I love to learn! I am very excited to be part of this group :))

Hi Kaylin, I'm new here, too. The world needs great editors! I recently read, "Story Grid: What Good Editors Know" and it gave me a whole new perspective on writing and affirmed my appreciation of editors.
