Cynthia Boris Hi! I'm Cynthia and I've been a magazine writer, blogger and non-fiction writer for quite some time but I'm finally returning to my first love - fiction! I'm combining my love of fandom with my knowledge gained from working behind the scenes in movies and TV for a series of books set in both worlds.

My new novel Fanon (Never underestimate the power of fandom) is live now on Amazon. I've always been surprised by the small number of books set in fandom or geekdom or even the world of entertainment - I love to read the ones that are out there, so I figured it was time I wrote my own.

Roderick Edwards Thanks for letting me participate. I'm a new author that has written and published 4 books in less than 6 months. I live on the edge of a 400 thousand acre long-leaf pine forest in central Florida, so I'm in the middle of nowhere. I hope to interact with this group.
4 books of varied genre

Ellary Eddy Hi everyone,

I've just published a book of essays -

HER ARGUMENT, Epiphanies, Theories, Confessions ~

It's one part memoir, ten parts exploration, provocation, and fun. I have a background as an artist and magazine founder/editor and my essays span a lot of topics: identity, art, language, play, joy, sex, aging like a mofo, etc.

I'd love to get feedback/reviews. Happy to answer questions on my author page!

Thanks!

hooolahoopp Hi fellow readers/writers. I'm 17, studying sciences. Yet I aspire to be a fiction writer one day. Although I believe most fiction is derivative of the author's life/experiences. Here's a link to my blog:

It would mean a lot if y'all checked it out. Thanks a tonne :)

message 3720: by Frank (new)

Frank Prem Hello.

I'm Frank Prem, a free verse poet from Australia. I've started publishing my work in book collections in the last 18 months or so, and am in the process of bringing out a trilogy of love poetry, as well as a picture book of teddy bears.

The trilogy draws on 3 poets and one of their their poems - Amy Lowell (Madonna of the Evening Flowers), Walt Whitman (Leaves of Grass), T. S. Eliot (The Love Song of J. Alfred Prufrock) and uses each line/phrase from the original poem to inspire a new poem written by myself.
If anyone is interested in reviewing one or more of these, I'd be delighted to arrange.

Thank you for having me in the group, I am delighted to be here.

message 3721: by Missy (new)

Missy Michaels Good afternoon, my name is Missy Michaels and I am new to Making Connections as of this afternoon. I am a reader on Goodreads and also an author. My 2 domestic suspense novels, To the Swift and Loyal are listed here on the site. I enjoy Goodreads so much for book recommendations. I am a little odd in that I select and read a book first, then write my own Goodreads review for it and then go and read the reviews for that book. I know, I know....I did admit my system is odd. I'm looking forward to participating with the group.

C.T. Au-Yang My name is C.T. Au-Yang, I am an entrepreneur and a coder. I had this book published not long ago. It is not about programming or systems development though.

It is the novella that one can finish reading in a couple of hours and may find loveful for a lifetime, the first of three of the series 'Understanding & Endeavour'.

So many quotations, songs, novels, movies and tears after, there is still no definitive answer to the almost perpetual mystery, what is love?

Can love be explained by neurotransmitters, their prioritizations, memories, decision trees and human logic?

The answer is for readers to find out and this book (with the touch of a coder and twist of a drunk) of rarest supply may save them a lot of trouble.

More information can be found at www.twitter.com/ctauyang.

The eBook of 'Entanglement' (ASIN:B086MKYLJ2) will be available for free on Amazon, this promotion is going to start at 12:00 AM on 11 April 2020 (Pacific Time) and last for 24 hours.

Christina Kirsch Hi, looking forward to connecting with readers. I don't know why it took me so long to get on goodreads, but I expect a whole new level of social conversation.
I'm reading "Americanah" by Chimamanda Adichie, and I think I'll read Chuck Palahnuik's "Consider This" next, or maybe "Grunch of the Giants" by Buckmister Fuller, but I still haven't read "In Our Time".
And, yes, I write, cuz I'm human, and stuff needs to get processed. Art is good that way.
from, your new friend, Christy
