Barbara King Hi Everyone. My name is Barbara Anne King and I live in CT. I am the author and self-publisher of The California Immigrant which takes place in my hometown of Watsonville, California. I recently joined Goodreads and look forward to learning about new books to read, discussing books I've read, and finding readers for my book which has a good story that is based on events that occurred during WWII. Currently, I am busy adding my read books to shelves. Fortunately, I've kept a list since joining a library book club five years ago. That was one of the best things I've done. Not only was I introduced to new books but it inspired more reading. The kindle helped, too. I can read so much faster with it and enjoy reading much more. Not only that, I never have to wait for a new book so I'm always reading. I look forward to participating in the group and hope that you can help with my book promotion. Thank you.

John Addison Hello, I am John Addison.

I have been reading a lot about fifty years ago. In 1969 the antiwar movement was strong with most of the nation wanting peace in Vietnam, the environmental movement became mainstream after the Santa Barbara oil spill, and music was amazing as witnessed at the Woodstock festival attended by 500,000.

Some of my favorite books about the Sixties include Tom Wolfe’s Electric Kool Aid Acid Test, Sara Davidson’s Loose Change, and David Maraniss’ They Marched Into Sunlight.

On May 25, I publish my novel 1969 Love and Promised Peace.

Dick Long Hi, my name is Richard Long. I’m semi-retired. When I retired from mother Merrill, I moved my little family to Southeast Georgia. I’ve always wanted to be a cowboy and writer. Now, I am both. It’s something to witness the miracle birth of a colt or calf. I write Erotica and erotic romances from short stories of six thousand word to The Reluctant Master which is being edited that runs over 400 hundred pages and over 200,000 words. Although I have been published by the big houses, I prefer the freedom of self-publishing. I only publish on Amazon now under Dick B. Long.
One of my favorite things to do is go horseback riding with my wife of many years. Our children are grown and gone. Sometimes we take a basket and have dinner on one of the several pieces of high ground on our ranch. It’s something to watch the sun go down over the Okefenokee Swamp. If you haven’t visited, it’s well worth it. You can reserve a spot at the Okefenokee Swamp Park. Who knows, you might run into us.
My favorite authors are Stuart Woods, Harold Robbins (I’m rereading his books), and Alexa Riley. There are others I enjoy reading but these are the main ones I read. I look forward to discussing my genre with everyone as I fear my wife is growing tire of it all.

Jeremy Jones I've actually been a member for a while, just haven't found the time to actually introduce myself. Cheers, I'm Jeremy. I'm a science fiction writer from Boise, ID.

Published my first book last year and trying to cobble together a second to release late summer, early fall. Both are part of the Ruins of Empire series which is kind of a pulp sci-fi action adventure. It's hard to classify other than it's what happens when you leave me alone for a while with enough coffee and alcohol. When I'm not in my writing cave arguing with imaginary people, I work in craft beer teaching people how to make grain, hops and yeast into awesome sauce.

My half-ass fumbling attempts to learn self-promotion led me here. I'm sure I will meet some strange, wonderful people. Something productive may come of it. Or maybe just another story. I'm good with either.

So hello. Nice to meet you all. I'm going to go try and figure this place out.
