My name is Douglas Thompson, I am 70 years old, and I have just published my first book: Fully Human: The Story of a Man Called Yeshua. You can find it on my author's page, and at Amazon and Barnes and Noble.
I live in Hyattsville Maryland with my wife of 48 years, and our two rescue beagles. I own a yoga studio, teach yoga and Pilates 7 days/week, and I love playing classical guitar, and reading fiction.
I look forward to connecting with you all.

I'm a self-publisher and have two books out:
Stellar Fusion (Infinite Spark Series: Book 1) a scifi/fantasy about a futuristic invasion of a post-apocalyptic Earth
Embers on Ice: A Christmas in Montana - a new adult romance between a sufferer of PTSD and another of an invisible illness.
I also have a short children's book out under my real name.
A Wet Nose Christmas is about a puppy being adopted and the value of friendship.
I do everything myself except the final edits. I would love to swap ideas/lessons learned, feedback, honest reviews, and anything writing or reading related!
Best wishes and hope y'all are well!
- Elysia

Also, hi Sierra!

We recently started a book review blog and have even more recently started posting our reviews here as well. We are both teachers in the Midwest US and enjoy reading (obviously) as well as traveling and learning new things.
Neither of us have written anything but Holly has considered the idea of trying to write a book, probably something cozy mystery-ish.

I’m an IT professional, who enjoys storytelling, non-fiction books and learning about human behavior. I’ve lived in Illinois since I moved to the United States in 2006.
Currently looking for reviewers for my non-fiction book Chicken Hero. It’s my very first book. The book contains a collection of stories that are about my experiences growing up in Nigeria and coming to live in the United States. The stories are about mischief, love, family and different cultures, beliefs and geographical settings.
I will provide a digital copy of the book to anyone, who is interested. I have a Word document at hand if that is acceptable. Otherwise, I can send it in other digital formats that are preferred.
My email address is uyi.osifo@hotmail.com. Also have a twitter page http://twitter.com/uyizee . A link to the book on Amazon is below.

I’m new(ish) to the site having installed the app to my FaceBook account and then promptly forgetting I had done so. My daughter-in-law has persuaded me to give it another go, and so here I am.
For over 30 years I taught experiential writing and poetry at colleges in New Jersey, Illinois, and Massachusetts, loving (almost) every minute of it. I have published a book on it Coming to Terms with Experience Through Writing, Scott Oury which explores the factors that makes writing worth reading; that is, dramatic, and employing poetic devices. Examples come from student writings, some quite dramatic and poetic. It’s available on Amazon if you’re interested.
I’ve also been writing poems for the past forty-some years, a few published, though that wasn’t my goal. Writing the poems themselves has taken first place, by far. With that said, I’m currently at work curating, collating and coaxing them into book format. With any luck it will be completed by year end. In the meantime I’m going to take advantage of another Goodreads site feature and become a blogger in my old age. Here's where you'll find it: https://www.goodreads.com/author/show...

Thanks, looking forward to connecting and sharing.

I am a newbie to writing and joining writer's groups. Hope to learn more from everyone here. I just started writing my first non-fiction book last year - My Supernatural Encounter with the Orange Being. But you know what I just got it published this month. Right now I am trying to learn about the promotion process - time consuming but interesting!
I usually read non-fiction books especially in the genre of spirituality, psychic, metaphysical, paranormal, angelic or anything along the line of supernatural stuff. For fiction books, I like anything from James Patterson.
I have a pen name Hayley Bi printed on my first book because I was kind of forced to use it out of a controversial chapter in the book. But otherwise people refer me as Dior, so it is ok to call me either. It may take a while for me to get used to Hayley.

My name is Lizel Harvey and I am a Romance Author. I have 1 published book so far. I also read Romance and have done so since the 1980's. Life is hard and I find Romance is a great escape - in fact, all books are but I love a good HEA. I have been on Goodreads for a while but I am not very good at interacting and with three children, work and writing - it is not always easy to chat on social media. I am looking for reviews for my Second Chance Romance set in Italy. Easy read and it will warm you in all the right places. It has a little spice but I don't think it is over the top. Thank you

I published my novel Not All Of Me Is Dust -- a story of the costs exacted in living out a high ideal -- with Create Space. You can find it on Amazon under my name.
Warmest wishes to all fellow writers.

Firstly, thank you, Making Connections, for having your group open for all who wish to join.
My name is Sophia, writing as S. L. Gibson. I am from London, England. I am a new IA who has just published her first ebook novel, one of a three book series (Mercinia Series), called Love Changes Everything. It out on Amazon Kindle, iBook, KOBO, B&N, and over formats via https://www.smashwords.com/books/view... My writing style is very much for adult readers.
I enjoy reading fiction rather than non-fiction because it is my escape space, and I love strong alpha female characters taking on the alpha males. I llike a range of fiction genre which I dip in and out of including PNR and under this genre I love shape-shifters and big guys so its tigers, bears, and dragons for me “oh my”. My first book falls into this genre nicely, funny enough. I also enjoy erotica, fantasy, thrillers, suspense, romance and murder mystery - in no particular order.
I hope to enjoy my time on GR learning from those who have ventured before me, and getting involved in the various communities and discussion groups I have found on this very interesting site.

Thank you,
