To escape into someone's imagination is a special gift.

My name is Luana and I'm a Brazilian translator and now author.
I just published my first book - Welcome to New York - in English. It started out as an exercise and ended up being a full novel.
I'm new to Goodreads, too!

As one who has just joined this group, I thought I should spend a few moments to introduce myself. My name is Christopher and I am one who hopes to capture the fleeting moments of inspiration & insight, and share it with the world around. As someone who seeks for ways to express the pulsing ache in my heart, I decided to create a blog to do just that.
I desire to use my words to instill a flame of passion for others to taste that sweet love I have tasted, hence my newly formed blog and the use of Goodreads (Anyone who is interested in checking my blog out, though it may lack content at the moment for it being new, the link is in my profile). I dearly hope and desire greatly to connect and form relationships from this secret and yet comment thread that connects us all together as a community.

Happy to be part of the group!

My name is Barbara and I am the author of the Children's Book "Daisy and Friends: Rocky's New Friend", a book appreciated because "Barbara has a way of writing that gets the message of bullying across to all ages".
I would be glad to send a PDF version of my book to anyone interested in making a honest review.
I also invite you to enter my giveaway, that will be active till March 12th: https://www.goodreads.com/giveaway/sh...
Don't miss this opportunity!
All the best,
Barbara

I'm Paula, Aussie author of 'Odyssey in a Teacup', a coming-of-age satire (& chick lit in its original form), and romantic comedy novel, 'Apoca[hot]lips'.
These are the first two in a series. Book 3, 'My T[r]oyboy is a Twat', is currently at the editor. (Each is also a stand-alone novel.)
I might be a comedy writer, but I love reading mystery-thrillers!
I also enjoy a good discussion; something I do often in the Twittersphere, but nowhere near enough on Goodreads.

Making Connections Group
I hope all your experiences here are wonderful!
Take a few minutes and introduce yourself, or just stop by and say ..."
Hi everyone and thank you for allowing me to join your awesome group! My name is Alicia Freeman and I am a PA to authors looking to get their books out there. I am also a reviewer and a blogger, so feel free to send anything you would like my way. aliciafreeman40@gmail.com . I read just about everything because reading is my life. I am a mother of four beautiful daughters and have been married for 22 years this April. Ok enough about me, let's have some fun!!

My name is Lily Gardner and I've written a detective series about Lennox Cooper, a flinty, poker playing ex cop published by Diversion Books. The 3rd in the series, ALL IN, is coming out May 15, 2018. My advanced readers' copies should be available any day now.
I'm also a voracious consumer of hard-boiled detectives, Nordic noir and thrillers.

My name is James Maxstadt, and I'm the creator of the Duke Grandfather saga, the first two of which are out. They're fun, fast paced fantasies, suitable for pretty much all ages.
I've always loved spec fic, ever since I was a little kid, so I drew on a lot of classic references for these books. While those are sitting for a bit, I'm working on another book titled, "Solomon's Exile" and a book of short stories.
Looking forward to getting know some of you!

I am also an English major, a Librarian and a dog mom. :)

Print 100 advance review copies & mail them to advance readers (for one final check for edits, etc.), journalists, and reviewing agencies (Publishers Weekly - BookLife, Library Journal, Midwest Book Review, etc.) The latter need 3-4 months lead time, and if you've created a well-edited, professional and interesting book, they'll give you a good review that you can use in your "launch" marketing. The other readers can be invited to post their reviews on Amazon before you launch your book.
Good Luck!

I just published my first novel, "A Little Gumbo in Her Face", and feel like a new Momma - with all the insecurities and anxieties of holding my first born. Whew!
As for who I am, I'm a former English teacher turned psychologist, with a stint at raising miniature Herefords in Texas thrown in there before moving back to the East coast and becoming an author.
I absolutely love Argentine tango and New Orleans, and I'm an avid reader - love good stories that make me think.
Thanks for including me in the group.
Arleen Cerbone Faustina

I'm Meredith from northeast Ohio (although I spent the first seven years after college teaching in southern MD). I read a range of genres but think I read more fantasy and mystery than anything else. I also write in a variety of genres with more of my creations falling into fantasy or Christian fiction than other categories. I absolutely love our national parks. I have placed two of my novels-in-progress within these sites and plan on developing more stories against such beautiful backdrops!
Besides reading and writing, I like to spend my non-work time (teaching is wonderful but I do put my time in with lesson planning and grading) running, playing with photography, and planning my next trip.

I am a book reviewer and blogger.
I was also looking around for somewhere to post my reviews I have already but got a bit confused?
I was also wondering if we could post our website for our own blogging? If so where should it go?

My name is Brian, and I'm an indie fantasy author. I'd love to make some new friends, follow some new authors, or even get followed :D
If anyone has any book recommendations, I'd love to hear them!

While all the books I write are thrillers I enjoy reading fantasy, so I hope you'll share news about your upcoming books. Best Regards!

Thanks Vicky! I'll look out for your work too!

My name is C, and I'm interested in a number of different genres so I can't really specify a favourite one or a favourite book/series. I'm especially into young adult, fantasy, paranormal, and thrillers though.
I'm an aspiring author and avid reader!
I run a blog at www.inkblottings.com where I post bookish blog posts and book reviews, along with many other things!
I'm always looking to meet new people so please feel free to send me a message or a friend request!
