Hello, Anne,
I'm probably a little late to the table, but just read your post regarding your interest in reviewing children's books.

If you're not already inundated by requests, I wondered if you might be interested in reviewing one of my MG books. I hate asking for reviews, but it would be lovely to get a few more!

Unless you have a preference for a particular title (all of which feature on my Author Page), perhaps I could suggest Glass Dreams

Glass Dreams by Helen Laycock

This is a circus mystery which is suitable for readers of 8-12.

Here's the blurb:
Runaway Jake has no idea what adventures are in store when he finds young circus performer Khala hiding in a ramshackle caravan.

Jake sees things – dreams, visions… but should he reveal the contents of the mysterious box he has been warned never to open? Khala has secrets of her own, secrets which could threaten her friendship with Jake.
And she is not the only one of the performers with something to hide.

Jake soon discovers that Fantazi’s Circus is a place of danger, and together, he and Khala begin to uncover the layers of deceit which have an impact on them both.

However, neither one is prepared for the biggest discovery of all.

Please do let me know if you're interested (in this, or perhaps another book), and we can work out the best way to get the book to you.

All the best,
Helen

Jacqueline Friedland Hi guys- I am Jacqueline Friedland. Long time member of goodreads, but brand new member of this group. I am a glutton for fiction, and I love that so many like-minded people congregate here. My debut novel, Trouble the Water, historical fiction about the antebellum South, will be released in May.

M.L. Shanahan Hi guys, I am an author. My first novel is a crime thriller set in New York City. I am a popcorn crutching movie buff. I love reading, I enjoy a wide variety of genres, from self help to true crime.

Feel free to message me here to discuss, movies, books and my work.

Rodney Royden Hi,

Longtime reader and now author - after brain surgery. I have self published two books which I hope inspire and help others!

Really appreciate anyone reviewing my books and checking out my instagram.

This is my author page, with my two books.
https://www.amazon.com/-/e/B074BQRF62

I would love to participate in ARR and any other suggestions to help promote/share my work.

I always loved reading and writing and wrote my life story after brain surgery (just in case.) My first book lost money and has had little response.

Struggling mightily with trying to fit into society now with a 'disability', I looked to others for strength. I self-published my second book with some of the inspiring amazing life stories that capture the human spirit and help give me a smile each day.

Hope you enjoy.

P.S this is my instagram. Yoga has been a godsend for me to be able to improve my ability to physically function.

Sophia Nicolopoulos Hello.
I've been a member of this group for some time now but only this month did I start engaging more with my goodreads account. I used to read a lot of books back in my high school years but now due to my tight working schedule I cannot afford the time to read everything I would have wanted.
Back to basics, my name is Maria-Sophia and I come from Athens, Greece. I love reading books, all kinds actually but I have a soft spot for dystopias and sf, and I have recently lauched my personal blog where I'll upload reviews, book lists etc.
Some years ago I used to be a beta reader for loads of authors but I stopped due to working and studying at the same time.
This new blog of mine is aiming at presenting indie authors (or not) by reviewing their work and interviewing them. So, in case you're interested please check the following link: https://inkandpapercuts.wordpress.com/
I hope I'll get to meet great authors in this group! I'm very happy to be part of it!
P.S: The blog is new so I'm currently building my audience. Wish me luck!

James Hold Hello. I'm James Hold and I write humorous adventure-fantasy tales set mostly in Texas. My first book became an immediate collectors item. I have hundreds of copies collecting dust in my attic. I decided I was overcharging so I offered them for free. Apparently I'm still overcharging. You can find me here: https://www.smashwords.com/profile/vi...

Seriously I'm looking for any suggestions for how to get more exposure. Without getting arrested, that is. I'm hoping this group can help with that.

Hi, I wonder if you would consider doing a review of my new novella, Gabriel, The Training of an Angel. I would characterize the work as inspirational fantasy. It has a strong literary feel. I noticed on your FB page that you enjoyed The Children of Men. That's one of my absolute favorites, and perhaps your taste is similar to mine. I can provide a free e-book for an honest review. When you have a free moment, drop me a note. I'm at dianerosiermiles@gmail.com. Thank you! Diane Rosier Miles

Kimberly Hi!

My name is Kimberly and I love reading! I have a blog called Lattes, Lipstick, and Literature where I read and review all genre of books. When I say all Genre I really do mean all Genre; Nonfiction, Fantasy, Educational, Science Fiction, etc...

I've been a member of Goodreads for a while now, but I have just recently started to use it to make connections and friends.

If your interested you can see my blog here http://www.latteslipstickandliteratur...

message 2522: by Elaine (new)

Elaine Hi everyone.

I'm Elaine from (currently not so sunny) South Africa. I'm a writer and a reader.

I am a typical cross-genre author, although I tend to gravitate towards the darker side of life. I always slip into romance, so I guess we can say I'm a romance author writing in a sub-genre.

I read historical fiction (and all the sub-genres) and romance (and all the sub-genres), horror, paranormal, mystery, dystopian and post-apocalyptic.

The biggest problem I have is that I'm kind of insanely shy. Which is really funny, because in real life I'm not this shy. So I'm hoping joining this group will help me get over it (long-time Goodreads member, first-time group member).

message 2523: by Douglas (new)

Douglas Wilson Hello everyone. My name is Douglas L. Wilson (Doug), and although I've been a Goodreads member since last year, I'm just now learning to navigate my way around. I'm not the most tech savvy individual, and I'm a bit introverted, but I'm trying.

My first novel, a supernatural thriller called AFFINITY'S WINDOW, has been out since last December. You can find it on my author's page.

I've been an avid reader of all genres since my early teens- I'm turning 57 in a couple weeks- but I didn't start writing until I retired after 35 years in construction. I find writing to be utterly liberating.

I just wanted to say hello to everyone. Thanks for having me in your group.

message 2524: by Mary (new)

Mary Feliciani Hi, Elaine. No need to be shy in this group. Welcome!

T.A. Moorman Goodevening ghouls and gals! Hi! I’m Tiffany, the one with the little black boxes, not the blue ones. I may be a brand new author, but I am not new to the writing world. Some of you may know me from GothicMoms Reviews, Graphics, or DarkCharms, some of you may not know me at all. My pen name is T. A. Moorman. Be warned those of you that do not know me, I HAVE NO FILTER!! LOL! I am known to say the first thing that pops into my dark and twisted mind. So if you offend easily, you may want to steer clear of any and all posts made by me, or on my behalf.
My first title Witch Wars is the first in the Underlayes series, with plenty more juiciness on its way, soon. It’s a world full of mystery, mayhem, diabolical intrigue, juicy sex, love, hate, witches, vampires, demons, and many, MANY other things. Which has been revamped, cuz I am now signed!! I am now an official author of After Glows Publishing. With not only the anthology Married. Wait! What? now out, but the Holiday Magic Anthology coming 12/12!
I am not only a writer, I am also a mother, a lover, a violinist, an artist, a creator, a mental case, and a darkly elegant fierce woman. It will be my dark pleasure mixing it up with each and every one of you!

JJ || This Dark Material Hi everyone! My name is JJ and I've been writing movie reviews for about 6 months now. Being both a film buff and book worm, writing articles about new movies inspired me to also put down my thoughts on each new book I read this year. My blog This Dark Material only has my film reviews posted as of now, but I'll be adding new book reviews and my old Goodreads reviews at the new year :)

I love a wide variety of genres, but heavily favor fiction. I'm trying to expand my horizons by incorporating more non-fiction reads this year and beyond. Please feel free to friend/follow me; I'm excited to explore and get to know the book blogging community :)

Renee(Reneesramblings) Hi. I'm Renee from Long Island, NY. I am an only child who grew up in a house with 2 parents who didn't really read, but I fell in love with the library from the very first visit. I cut the cable connection a few years back, though I guess some would liken my reading addiction to those who binge watch Netflix. I am always trying to broaden my reading horizons, but mystery, thrillers, and crime are still my favorite 'go to' reads. I am a gardener and grow from seed. December & January are the 2 months of the year when I really get to read. No seed starting until February and the garden ends in November, so I get to immerse myself in a book buffet.I've been on GR for a while but never really explored how much it has to offer. Now I am involved in groups, getting great book suggestions and working on starting my first book blog. I look forward to the group interactions and hope all your book wishes come true.
