Deborah Jacobs I'm a lawyer and journalist with a broad range, from the consumer-oriented book, "Estate Planning Smarts," to quirky features about far-flung destinations. My new book, launching May 1, tells the story of how I quit an oppressive editorial job, rented my house and lived in France on the proceeds.

message 2071: by Bill (new)

Bill Greenwood Hello. Bill Greenwood here (aka Cranky Bill). I've published 2 books on Amazon- Afghanistan, a story of the new and the old Cold Wars, and Montrose County, a story about international terrorism and the lasting effects of war on the people who endure it on our behalf.
I'm currently working on a third novel that will complete a trilogy of sorts. There were some minor characters in my first who ended up being more crucial to the plot of the second. I've decided to give them their own story, and hope that the resolution is satisfactory.
The first book was fairly complex, moving back and forth over a 30-some year time frame. Montrose is a far simpler book, and I tried to generate a more emotionally complex main character forced to face terrible circumstances. The third will have even more moving parts, all taken from what could be tomorrow's headlines, and I hope that readers will find an emotional connection with the main characters.
