Augustine Sam Hi everyone, I can't believe I've been on Goodreads since December 2014 without knowing about this group. Well, here I am now. My name is Augustine Sam, I am an author & poet. I have published three books so far - a contemporary women's fiction, "Take Back the Memory," a poetry collection, "Flashes of Emotion," and a thriller novel, "The Conspiracy of Silence." If I write across genre, I read across genre too. Well, I write mainly thrillers & poetry but I read just about anything I can lay my hands on.

I live in Italy, and I am bilingual though I write mostly in English. I look forward to having a great time here. Thank you for having me.

message 1320: by Tana (new)

Tana Tim I am from a small town in the northern part of Ontario Canada.

message 1321: by Tim (new)

Tim Harron Tana, I have visited near you before but that was back in 2004, Kitchener. It was crazy cold and always snowing. I can take that for like a week hahaha

message 1322: by Tana (last edited Aug 10, 2016 09:44PM) (new)

Tana Yes Tim it does get cold here, Kitchener is in what I would say south eastern Ontario its really far from where I live. Ontario is a large province, I live northern part of Ontario closer to the Manitoba border and then up North.

Sometime in the winter we get temperatures around -40 to - 50 C
( -40 F - -58 F) Ontario is a huge province. Our winter starts in Late October/November and stays till April. And the snow we get is crazy. When I retire in 20 or so years I am moving to a warmer climate haha.

message 1323: by Yolanda (new)

Yolanda Ramos -40C? Wow - cant imagine such cold.

message 1324: by Tim (new)

Tim Harron I just couldn't do cold like that again. I went from NY to Cancun, Mexico to California and now Las Vegas. Yolanda I was in some of that, imagining it is where it should stay. lol Tana when you want to make that move, I'll be in the Caribbean sooner rather than later! Open invite!

Erin Happy Friday (here in the U.S., at least)! I am a major reader and half of a blogging couple. Our blog is about books, video games, and comparing the two mediums of story telling. We do book reviews, comparisons of books and video games, and a bunch of other book/game posts (you can find us at http://gameandread.com).

Personally I love to read thriller, contemporary fiction, and dystopian fiction. I'm looking forward to all the discussion threads in this group!

message 1343: by Michael (new)

Michael Darian Hey there! My name is Michael Adams, I've just finished self-publishing a book of mine that was well over three years in the making. Feeling pretty great about that, though I think the next time I need to have a cover I'll just hire someone whom is actually skilled at it to do so, haha. It's a fantasy-fiction genre book with magic, sky-pirates, and an ancient evil that's trying to push its plan into motion.

(which if anyone would like to do this Read for Review thing that I've heard about, I'd be more than happy to provide a copy online, free of charge. If I can figure out how that works on this. Yeah.)

I've been writing since I was thirteen, actively participating on varying "pen and paper" text-based role playing websites. I hope that doesn't have a terribly negative connotation anymore, but it was, and still is, great fun to be able to create a story with other people while inhabiting a single character and their perspective. I'm interested in copious amounts of video gaming, reading, and writing, as well as in cooking. I don't know what else I could say, except that I'm excited to try to talk to more people and network for the sake of my book, and meet other readers and authors!

message 1346: by Lora (last edited Aug 14, 2016 07:37AM) (new)

Lora Palmer Hi, all!

I'm Lora, and I write YA sci-fi and fantasy. My debut novel was published by Clean Reads this April. I'd by happy to do a Read for Review thing as well, so let me know if you'd be interested in reading and reviewing The MirrorMasters!

Michael, congrats to you, too, on publishing your book! I'll have to check it out. I also did text-based role play (based on Roswell and Harry Potter), and those were such fun times.

As a reader, I have eclectic tastes and end up listening to a ton of audiobooks borrowed from my local library's Overdrive Media during my commute to/from work.

Feel free to add me to your friends list/follow list, and if you enjoy the premise of The MirrorMasters, I'd love it if you'd add it to your to-read list :).
