Elizabeth John Hi Everyone
I'm Elizabeth and I just published my debut historical fiction novel in February. Set in London in the early 1600's, it's a sweeping story of love, intrigue and betrayal, and the heroine is my ancestress, who was the mistress of the Tower of London.

After a lot of research and talking, I decided to self-pub with CreateSpace and it's been a great experience. Sales are steady, and I've really enjoyed being in charge of my own destiny! Of course, I'll never turn down an offer from the Big Five, but I proved to myself I could
(1) Write a book
(2) Finish it
(3) Publish it
and then watch total strangers download it, read it, review it and even write me nice letters about it!
I'd be happy to share tips and tricks with other authors and writers.
My book, The Lady of the Tower, is on Amazon - come by and say hi on my Facebook or on my website:

Hope to spend some time with all of you!

Terry T Lee Hi,

My name is Terry T. Lee. It's great to join this community. Those following words could introduce me: Writer, Public Speaker, Entrepreneur, Marketer, and Dreamer.
I grew up in Canada, and just moved back to my home country, S.Korea few years ago. I'm kind of 'Dream Seeker', and plan to travel all around the world.

I love to read all the books that inspire me, and I do not care about genre since I believe that all the books have their own meaning and value.

I'm currently writing my first book, and it'll be published very soon. I hope my writing could inspire and help others in a very positive way.

I'm looking forward to getting involved in this group.
:)

Agnes Trifontaine Hello, my name is Agnes Maria Trifontaine, Agi for short.
I have been an avid reader and a writer since the age of 10.
I read anything I could get my hands on, whether I understood it all or not, just as long as I had a book before my face. I have passed on this trait to my grandchildren who are winning awards for their reading ability. I love it.
I have published six children's books in Germany, where I was born and a mystery series for children in the US, as well as a novel, The Face of God, and three poetry books.
My fifth book in the mystery series is coming out the end of May.

Doug Oudin Hi, Doug Oudin here, author of 'Between Two Harbors, Reflections of a Catalina Island Harbormaster', and 'Five Weeks to Jamaica'.
It's great to be a part of the author community, to see good reviews, and to feel good about realizing my dream of getting published.
Like most Indie authors, we will never reach the big-time, but it is enough to be able to share our passion for writing with others.

I'm an author from Melbourne, Australia. I've published two non-fiction books through Pearsons Ed and have just released my first SciFi Adventure novel, HUMAN, through SpearPoint Press.

I love to spend time with my two little boys as well as read books and run. I love animals and adore my fluffy black cat Molly and two feather-duster doggies, Sindar and Kyah.

I.A. Ashcroft Hey there everyone! I'm I. A. Ashcroft (and I really do just go by "I"! Though, I do have a friend who insists on "Master Ashcroft" for general theatrics and misadventures.) Pleasure to meet everyone! I'm based in Phoenix, Arizona and write dystopian fantasy/sci-fi, with my first book, Raven Song, published just recently.

I read all kinds of things, though in fiction, I might skew fantasy (currently reading Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrell), and in non-fiction, I tend towards mythology studies and languages. That said... I just love reading, and I love recommendations, even if it's a treatise on bicycles.

Looking forward to hanging out with everyone here! You look like a great group of cool people.

Cathy Donnelly Hi – My name is Cathy Donnelly. I am originally from Scotland but now live by the coast in Australia. I enjoy historical fiction, especially if the stories have a supernatural element (time travel, reincarnation or ghosts). I have written two novels along these lines and working on a third. http://www.amazon.com/Cathy-M.-Donnel...

DISTANT WHISPERS is a reincarnation novel about Rachel, who has spent many lifetimes guarding her secrets, waiting for the time when she can fulfill her final destiny. It is set in 17th century England and concludes in present day Australia. I am working on a sequel. THERE IS A PLACE, set in the turbulent years of early 16th century Scotland is about a man who struggles to forgive himself, and his God, while trying to come to terms with his ability to communicate with the dead.

Since joining Goodreads I have ventured into reading different genres which I am really enjoying. Looking forward to making contacts and sharing.

message 991: by E.A. (new)

E.A. Copen Hello, all!
My name is Liz Copen. I publish under E.A. Copen. My first novel debuted April 1st of this year and I feel like I'm fighting an uphill battle. I'm shy so talking to people and making connections doesn't come naturally to me. It is getting easier as time goes on but I still hate tooting my own horn!

I live in Ohio, USA in beautiful Athens County. Appalachia might be one of the poorest regions in the country, but it's rich in it's storytelling culture and history. I am proud to know several Appalachian storytellers and have studied the oral tradition. It's part of where I learned to love big, crazy stories.

I'm an author of urban fantasy and I'm currently also working on a military space opera and a dark epic fantasy. Writing doesn't pay the bills yet so I also have the second best job in the world...I'm an editor! The surest way to get me talking is to mention a book I've read or edited! Indie publishing is more than just part of my job. It's a passion for me. I'm glad to meet all of you!

Tracey-anne McCartney Hi all!
Thought I'd drop in and say 'Hi'. I'm Trace from London, UK. Lovely to be here. Looking forward to connecting with other readers and writers. I'm still finding my way around Goodreads. My debut 'A Carpet of Purple Flowers' is now published. Yay! I'm working on the second book ~ 'Awake in Purple Dreams'.

I'm a sucker for romance novels, stories with elements of fantasy and folklore. I enjoy non-fiction, too. Love art and creativity.
