Sharon Hello there. I'm Sharon, a reader and reviewer and have a couple of books in mind to write. However that's where they still are at the moment. I used to write poetry and may still if something strikes me. I'm a part-time artist with paints and multimedia, which can be almost anything -- fabrics, pieces of rust, wood, all kinds of throwaways, etc.

I like literary best, both fiction and non. I also read just about anything that looks good to me in these categories: adventure, nonfiction, humor, novel, crime/thriller/suspense, historical fiction, history, short story, memoir, mystery, art, travel, and children's. I'll read books that are slightly paranormal and have read some fantasy.

Miquel Reina Hi! I'm Miquel Reina. I'm from Barcelona and I love reading and writing! So this group to be a good place to share with all of you my passion about literature! ;D
My favourite genres are fiction, specially Fantasy and more specially the books where reality and fantasy melt without you can't notice the limits. My favourite book is "one houndred years of solitude" from Gabriel Garcia Marquez. I admit that is not an easy book to read but Garcia Marquez way of telling stories is something that hipnotizes me. Im a great fan of stories where reality and fanstasy melts without even notice it.

Currently Im finishing the editing of my first novel! Hope I can share it with all of you very soon!

Well I can't think anythink more to say. Nice to meet you all!

Ann Venkat Hi all,

My name is Anu and I am a self-confessed book addict! So glad to have found GoodReads.

I live in US (East Coast) and recently become an ardent non-fiction fan! Previously I was a big fan of mysteries (Agatha Christie, Sherlock, Dick Francis, Robert Ludlum & David Baldacci), classics and P.G.WodeHouse.

I've also started a blog for non-fiction book reviews http://appliedbookreviews.com/blog/ and am always looking for new books to read on this genre.

Feel free to suggest books to me and connect with me.
Happy Reading!

Cheers, AR.

Mark Gelineau Howdy all,
I'm Mark Gelineau and my writing partner is Joe King. We're two long-time friends taking our shot as authors and attempting something relatively ambitious. We are releasing a fantasy novella every month.

The two of us decided to focus on writing shorter books because we feel that's what fit into our lives (both reading and writing!) and we think we're not alone in this.

The first one, A Reaper of Stone by Mark Gelineau is out now. Next one comes October 15.

I've been around Goodreads a bit, but mostly as a reader. This group seems like an absolute godsend, and I am very happy I came across it.

If you are interested in what we are up to, check us out at www.gelineauandking.com.

Also, we love reviewers, so if you are getting a review site up and running, we would love for you to take a look at our stuff.

There's gonna be lots of it.

Looking forward to getting to know you all.

Tara Jackson Hi! I'm Nicole. I'm a reader and a writer of all things YA. I'm a sucker for romance, but it has to have a bit of a kick or else I lose interest.
I'm releasing my first book in a couple of weeks and I'm SO nervous! It's a YA ghost story, just in time for Halloween.
I'm here to find some great new YA reads and hopefully make some connections with reviewers/bloggers/readers.

Ceanmohrlass Ceanmohrlass Hi! I'm Ceanmohrlass, a newbie author, published on Amazon, Smashwords, Barnes & Noble etc.
I write Women's Fiction and have done one Suspense novel so far, one in the works. My books are in e-book format only so far and if anyone is interested in reviewing any of my books I would love to hear from you. I am getting sales on Smashwords but not any reviews which I sorely need!
I just picked up "Orphan Train" by Christina Baker Kline and am getting ready to dive in!

message 91: by Tana (new)

Tana Hi Ceanmohrlass welcome to the group!

message 92: by Salley (new)

Salley J Robins Hullo All! I've been skulking about the goodreads site for a few months now, slowly finding my way and discovering what a fun group this is! At last I am ready to appear in the posts. I am here to enjoy reading the reviews and to interact with people who love to read. I write because I am driven to it and was very satisfied writing for Associated Content for a few years...then a big bad corporation took over and eventually closed down the social interaction between readers and writers that I loved. The writing has been redirected to my website, blog, and indie books, but what I really miss is the community. So, here I am saying hi and looking forward to sharing thoughts, opinions, reviews, and a lot of Good Reads with everyone here. Best Regards, Salley
