My name is Kristine, and I live with my husband and two dogs in WA State.
I love hearing, watching, and reading stories with a potential for enjoyment in nearly all genres (typically not horror and never erotica). I've read relatively few books in terms of the average reader, but I'm picky and harbor a few reading quirks that, at times, are difficult to keep in their box. Fantasy is my absolute favorite genre in a race nearly tied with history. So, I'm sure it comes as no surprise that I'm a self-published author writing fantasy novels woven with history and myth.
This past December I published my first book The Reaper Realm: Threads of Compassion. As stated, this novel is an epic fantasy adventure mainly set in an alternate realm. I had a lot of fun writing this book which took me on an epic, educational journey of my own. Now, I have several projects in the works and continue learning every day, something which suits my curious mind.

My name is Darrell (DC) Alden, I’m from London, and I’m
a book fan and thriller writer. I currently have three books out there, and I’m working on my fourth (I’m writing a film script too but that’s another story). As an indie author I find I have less time these days to actually read – there seems to be so many other book related things I have to do when I’m not actually writing, but I normally manage to squeeze in a few chapters at the end of the day. I’m sure that’s the same for many authors here.
Anyway, I write pacy political, military and conspiracy thrillers, and love to read those genres too. For me, the hardest job has been trying to find an audience for my books, and I’m hoping that Goodreads will help me to connect with new readers, make new friends, and introduce me to many great books.
Thanks for your time.
Here’s my Goodreads author profile:

I'm Kate, author of No Love Allowed coming April 19, 2016. It's basically Pretty Woman meets Great Gatsby with teens as protagonists. A fun, fast read that will have you smiling in the end.
I look forward to making connections with readers and my fellow authors in this group. Come over and say hi.

My name is Lorna and I am from Michigan. I began writing as a foster child. Initially, my journals were more of a way to promote self-healing through poetry. Later, my journals became a testimony to other foster children facing similar experiences. My first book is entitled, Black Butterfly: the Journey, the Victory; the second, Babygirl: Prequel to Black Butterfly, and the most recent release, Game Changers: Power - Control - Deception. Book genres are poetry, fiction, drama and romance. I too am looking forward to connecting with other authors in this group and wish everyone success on their journey.

I hope all your experiences here are wonderful!
Take a few minutes and introduce yourself, or just stop by and say ..."
Hello, Tana and all. I'm Kelly and still relative new to GR.
I am an artist who writes, with an interest in sci-fi\fantasy. I also indulge in writing poetry (when so moved by the world I exist in). I taught myself HTML\CSS to create from scratch my online platform, Chaos Studio Seven, to support my creativity.
I am an Atlanta native as well.

I'm Lee, a first time author and new Goodreads member, just finding my way around, looking forward to meeting others in this group :)

My name is Laura, and my husband and I just self-published a book about international cultural exchange and global education. It developed out of the blog I started almost five years ago, where I try to advise host families, exchange students, and families sending their kids off to study abroad. Just joined Goodreads and am having fun making my way around!

I'm Drew and am a self published author. I write in the romance/erotic genre. Looking forward to making some new friends. Glad to be part of the group!

I mostly read horror but I often stray from that genre if the mood hits me.

I used to sleep immediately I started reading when I was small. But it's only recently I started reading out of interest and even got active on Goodreads and now this group too!

I am Anna from Moscow. I practise my english by reading books and chatting:) You are welcome!

My nickname is Panda I’m a reader and a reviewer. I love to read and I cannot imagine spending my life without them. I also read very quickly according to some people (Well if I like the book that is). I also have a habit of drawing what I read so I had the idea of publishing reviews with a bit of art. Originally I was doing comics to review but due to my studies I now do only art piece.
So if you are interested in artistry reviews here you go :D: https://littlepandareads.wordpress.com/
I do have a preference for fantasy, cozy-mystery and historical fiction. But I do read a wide range of books and I can sincerely like a contemporary novel if I found it interesting. I like to try new things ;)

My name is Marieanne and I write Romantic Suspense novels. I’m a newbie self-published author, and my second book is due for release next month.
I live in the Blue Mountains, about two hours drive west of Sydney, in Australia.
I’d love to connect with other writers and readers who are interested in the Romance or Romantic Suspense genres.
I have a passion for learning and improving my skills as a writer. So, I’d be interested in hearing from others with similar goals, and would like to compare their own experiences, with writing and promoting their books, and giving feedback. If you wish, you can contact me by email.
I’m looking forward to making new friends here:-)

My name is Ed Lynskey. I write mysteries. My first published books were a private eye series and stand alone crime novels. Then I branched out into writing three cozy mystery series, with one series published under a pseudonym (Lyn Key). I enjoy watching baseball and listening to jazz when I'm not writing. Thank you for the forum to introduce myself to the group.

I'm a GoodReads listed author. I'm also at gregjolley.net and on FB at Greg Jolley - Author.
Thank you for stopping by!

I was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma and still live there(here?) today - along with my unremittingly patient wife, and our trio of felines. The cats like to help me with my writing - as one might expect of a cat. Unfortunately they seem to prefer a technique that I have yet to accomplish: it involves rolling around on the keyboard with one's whole body, and not just the hands. Remarkably clever little critters.

Hope to connect with some of you hear, I'd really like to network our combined ideas!
