I'm Thaddeus White. I write fantasy (and sometimes other stuff), and mostly read fantasy and classical/medieval history.
My new book, fantasy-comedy The Adventures of Sir Edric, comes out on 31 March, so I'll probably bang on about that a bit (in the right places, of course :p ).

My name is Kiah Stephens and I have one published book on Amazon (Anchor of Hope). I also have about ten manuscripts eagerly awaiting editing and publishing...but I hate editing, lol.
Looking forward to making some connections and learning from others.
Have a great day :)

I live in Noordhoek, South Africa, a tiny village in the so-called “richest floral kingdom in the world”. This breathtaking landscape, its devastating fires, and some amazing true human-animal bonds are eternalized in my new magical realism novel - The Immortal Life of Piu Piu.
I’m looking forward to finding like-minded people with a passion for life and its magic wrapped in mesmerizing words!

My name’s Chris and I’m new to Goodreads. Last week I joined as an author and put my novel up, Running Through Still Waters, after recently placing it on Amazon, so it’s early days all round.
I’m still trying to find my way here and not sure how I link up with friends. There’s a ‘follow the author’ button but no ‘friend button’ and when I try the messaging someone I get this error - User not found – in a red box. I’ve tried contacting several of my friends this way but the same message.
I’m sure it’s me, doing something wrong, but if anyone can help and tell me how to add someone as a friend as an author, I’d be very grateful.

It's a pleasure to meet you, Bianca. When I saw your note about being a "hybrid author" I pictured someone with an electric motor but full of gas, too (which made me giggle....then I had to explain to my youngest kid why I was laughing - he'd never heard of hybrid cars!)

Hi Tana. I'm trying to get used to Goodreads myself.

I go by the name Syl and I love this place and the Goodreads android app.

Hi Syl. Nice to meet up with you, as much as that is possible across the distance between Ireland and the West part of Canada, a lovely place I am told.

Me again Syl. Got your location wrong. Sorry for that, Middle of Canada and South.

Looking forward to reading your book!

Now you got me laughing . . . and this while I'm still trying to find my way around on the GR turf, clueless, unfollowed and without an electric paddle! But the way to 'reply to a comment' looked so bizarre that I followed the tracks of a goofy Dane right to the source to thank you for your funny welcome!
But to do so I had to ASK including a ? . . . which made me return. Holding my breath to see the result . . .

Grapes of Wrath is my favorite novel of all time. In my opinion (which of course is limited by my own experience) it's the best American novel ever written.

You can't go wrong with Steinbeck!

I am partial to Of Mice and Men, and Cannery Row and Sweet Thursday. After my kids read Cannery Row we went to Monterey and walked the ROW. It was great!!

I am Marla K. Benjamin. I am both an avid reader and a first-time novelist. I love to re-read some of my favorites from John Grisham to really anything :) My first novel, A Light in the Dark, comes out in May. Until then, I just keep on reading :)

I am Asher Pless, and like so many here I have the ambition to be an author although I am still in the process of getting published.
I am looking to make connections and hopefully contribute and do good reviews.
Thank you , all.

I'm Johnno Payne. I just want to say hi to everyone.
I like to read a lot of different things, I guess you can call me "eclectic," and I like to write, too, and help other people write.
I am an author and am writing real life short stories about teen life so far.

I just discovered your group and I liked. My name is Stjepan Varesevac Cobets, I live in Croatia in a small village next to the Adriatic Sea. I love science fiction and fantasy, but I read all the other genres. For years, I write for my pleasure poetry and science fiction but just recently I released my first book on Amazon.

I've been on Goodreads since 2012 as a reader, and published my first novel, Blaize and the Maven last year, with book 2 in the same PR/UF series, Tierra and the Warrior to follow this year.
PR/UF is probably my favourite genre to read, but I'm a voracious reader, and also read literary, crime, sci-fi, fantasy, and non-fiction - among others! I'm a psychologist and management consultant by profession, so I read a lot of books relevant to those too.
Oh, and I'm a British 'digital nomad' mainly based in Thailand, though I work and travel (112 flights last year) across SE Asia and the Middle East (I say that, I'm in the States this week!), so travel is also a subject I enjoy reading about.
My favourite authors are Douglas Coupland, Nora Roberts, Robert Heinlein, Laurell K Hamilton, Robert Galbraith, Illona Andrews, Patrick Rothfuss, Anne Bishop, Brandon Sanderson - oh, ok, I have quite a few favourites I realised as I was writing that!
Looking forward to exploring the group!
