Annie Daylon Hi to everyone,
My name is Annie Daylon. After many years teaching, I delved into writing. I have published three novels ("Of Sea and Seed, The Kerrigan Chronicles Book I," "Castles in the Sand," and "Maggie of the Marshes,") one picture book ("The Many-Colored Invisible Hats of Brenda-Louise,") and one book of short stories ("Passages.") I am currently working on two novels-- a stand-alone thriller and Book II of the Kerrigan Chronicles.
I was born and raised in Newfoundland and have lived in British Columbia for many years. Both of these places serve as settings for my writing.
Reading is one of my favorite things!

Welcome, I'm new here too but had to shout out to fellow Canadian. I loved my visit to NFL a couple years ago and spend a lot time in B.C. my husbands homeland. The novel I just published is set in Merritt and Vancouver.

M.J. Moon Hi everyone,

I´ll get to the point, I´m not very good at this online stuff. For me joining one of these groups is a bit like going to a party, not knowing anyone there and spending the evening hovering around the salted nuts bowl. I have no idea of what to say apart from:
1. I live in Almeria, but I´m originally from the UK.
2. I have a 20 month old baby who is gorgeous.
3. I´ve written two books which are currently languishing in Amazon´s reject bin. Partly because I am a seriously reclusive author (I hope I´m not the only one) and partly because I´m still trying to get my head around this self-promoting, meeting online people thing.
I´ve written two children´s books, The Girl with a Twirl and Marina Blue and the Mermaids of Tamesis. They are aimed at girls aged 8-12. They first one is humorous and the mermaid one is pure fantasy.
Look, I´m going to cut to the chase here, I am willing to do a review for anyone without having to pussy-foot about being friends for ages and making random small talk. I´m not good at that stuff and I believe indie authors should support each other.
Err, thanks for listening, Bye for now.

That's so nice that you rescue and adopt animals - I worked for the humane society for two years when I was younger. SO many more animals would have been able to find homes if more people had been willing to take them long enough for them to recover and be socialized - we never had enough people to do that, sadly.

James Hi, I am an indie author (James Halat) of contemporary gaylit who is an accidental resident of Tokyo. I like to to read literature, and the past couple of years I have been reading the magical realism of Haruki Murakami. Always unexpected and always a joy to read.

I have been writing for a long time, but only started publishing in April of last year. I now have three books available on Amazon. I would be happy to gift ebooks in exchange for fair reviews, if anyone is interested.

Author bio, book descriptions, look inside, and reviews to date can be seen on my Amazon page.

Lenita Sheridan Hi, I'm Lenita Sheridan. I grew up in the woods of Goldstream Valley which is outside of Fairbanks, Alaska. I now live on Whidbey Island in Washington state. I am currently a children's fantasy writer, but have also written science fiction and surrealistic, Twilight Zone type stories.

My website address is http://lenitasheridan.com

message 643: by Cami (last edited Feb 07, 2016 05:19PM) (new)

Cami Flores Hi,

My name is Camila Flores, I was born in Cuba but came to the US when I was 10. I am a professional writer, but my first language is Spanish. I write TV shows in the US.
I love Erotic fiction, all good literature and brutally honest stories.
I envy writers that can show their pain openly and freely.
That's why I wrote "The secret of Father Alcazar" a book about a Young girl who falls in love with a Sexually addicted priest.
It is a mix between my fantasies and my reality... I hope you don't find it too offensive. Let me know what you think and I will do the same for you...

message 649: by David (new)

David Hello all,

My name is David and I'm the author of Quintessence, an urban fantasy / YA / vampire book.

I work by day, and spend time with my wife and 19 month old daughter by night, and write in between. Beyond that, I'm just not that into the romance drama that is so prominent in so many vampire novels. I also don't like when the female protagonist relies on, or worse, needs the help of a male protagonist to achieve happiness or success. So I decided to write a short story that grew into a long story, that grew into an even longer story, that grew until it became a book in and of itself. So here we are. :)
