Amanda Dockendorff Hi everyone! I’m Amanda and I just figured out how to comment in groups 😅 I love romance, especially the dark and twisty variety. I also love a good thriller/ horror or historical fiction set in the WWII era. I’ve always been a big reader but have recently started back into my favourite hobby again. I’m always open to new friends and long chats about books!

Dr. Jasmine Good morning to all the lovely and charming GR folk :o)

My pen name is Dr Jasmine, and I am writing 11 volumes of Human Condition series; my writing style is idiosyncratic: science and fiction, philosophy, poetry and some original art.

As a practicing family doctor of almost 30 years, I've been privileged to witness many aspects of life of 1/3 of a million of people; I am passionate to share what I've learnt through my books.

I love reading- mostly classics, detectives, romance and philosophy. Would be great to make some new reading friends!

Have a fantastic weekend :o)

Dr Jasmine

Jenny Hi to everyone. I answer to Jenny or Jen. Most of those that know me call me, Sarky-Cow!
I'm a Keswick, Cumbria, girl. My home until university. I head home as often as I can. I'm still at uni, but study remotely and wander in for chats with my tutor: to keep me within the boundaries (on the straight and narrow). University life is not to my liking: I'm not easily bought and I'll make up my own mind, thank you very much. Both of my parents have a degree and being critical, making up your own mind, was welcomed back in their day. Ohh, how life has changed.
I'm not an author, a publisher, a blogger, an anything. I do write reviews. My opinion on a book is usually full of cheeky, smart-aleck comment. Please, let me stay. I'm never be rude or disrespectful and I'll try not to ruffle too many feathers: that's a big ask of myself. We'll see.

C.J. Frederick Hi. I am CJ from Ontario, Canada. I wrote my first book this year, which aligns with my favorite genre: historical fiction. I love reading about 19th and early 20th century settings around the world. I love strong female characters who defy the gender norms of their day. I'd love to connect with other readers, especially Canadians who can recommend Canadian historical fiction to try. Thanks!

Elena Perella Hi everyone!

I’m Elena and I am the pioneering leader of The New Human Being.

As a new author, I have written a book on my personal experience of domestic violence, a manifestation of painful family history.

My book (not published yet) is part of a project that aims at helping our children and future generations to live with a pure heart, free from unnecessary suffering.

Would you like to support our children’s future and leave them a legacy of love? Your opinion on my book is more than enough!

Jim LaFleur Hello everyone!

I'm Jim LaFleur, and it's great to join a group of fellow readers and writers. I'm drawn to stories that dive into the mysterious and unexplored, especially those with a psychological or existential twist. When it comes to writing, I love creating atmospheric worlds that draw readers into the unknown—often pushing them to the edge of reality, where the boundaries between fear, mystery, and discovery blur.

I’m originally from the US. Excited to connect with you all here on Goodreads and share our favorite books and stories!

Curt Finch Hi everyone,

Introducing myself to the group and I'm excited to meet my fellow authors! My name is Curt Finch and I recently published my book "Montjoy," a dark, historical mystery now available from Alternative Book Press.

Synopsis: Synopsis: When a Nazi diary is found at the Mauthausen Memorial in Austria, it is entrusted to a Jewish professor in England who encounters a fantastic tale of a masked vigilante taking revenge against the Gestapo on the eve of WWII. Written by a camp guard and former detective in the Berlin Criminal Police, the diary describes one man’s collision course with history, from the trenches of the Somme to the cabarets of Berlin to the crematoriums of Mauthausen, and the graveyards he left behind. As the professor dives deeper, he discovers the author is not who he seems, and the diary might be a suicide note masking an even greater mystery. This forces the professor to confront his own son’s suicide, a mystery he has never truly solved.

Stephen Heartland Good morning. My name is Stephen Heartland. I am a new member and a new author. I am from Columbus, Ohio. I have a vaccine injured daughter. This led me to do a lot of research on healthcare and vaccines, and to write a book based on what I learned. I won't post the book here, because it doesn't seem the appropriate place.

I just wanted everyone to know I am glad to be a member here, and looking forward to some good discussions. And I wanted to make a confession: I thought most of the work was done when I finished my book. Surprise! So now I am learning about marketing and getting reviews. Any help or advice for me is appreciated. Thanks in advance for your help!

message 5036: by Haly (new)

Haly Hello!
I am new to this group and relatively new to reviewing ARCs.
I have always been a voracious reader. I will read anything!
My background includes being a Clincal Psychologist at a Residential Treatment facility for children for 25 years. After that stint nearly sucked my heart and soul out I returned to my familial roots in herbalism and aromatherapy. I am so much happier and restored to the witty, sometimes snarky, half Irish half American Indian that I was born to be!
I am looking forward to being a part of this group and learning from you.

Jack Waymon Hello, everybody.

My name is Jack Waymon and I recently published my debut novel "No palm trees in New York." It took me close to two decades to produce this thing and it still feels surreal that it is somehow finished. Even though it took a very long time, this moment seems sudden. It's strange.

You can find the synopsis and general info on the book linked in my profile. The Kindle edition is available on Amazon and premium quality paperback and hardcover editions can be ordered from my website: https://jackwaymon.com.

I'm joining this group to make connections with other authors and to find ways to navigate the publishing and book advertising-world. It's a field in which I have exactly zero experience, so I hope I'll learn some useful things while enjoying some good writing-related banter.

Thanks.
