In 1993 I started writing my first book-- freehand. Two years later, I completed it. I was so excited about my accomplishment that I looked up my English teacher from High School and asked her to read it. She did, but the feedback she gave I was not expecting. She told me it was poorly written, was just a bunch of ideas strung together and that I should try doing something else. Disheartened, I put it away. I stopped writing. Over the next few years, the ideas flooded in but I still hadn't written anything. In 1997, I started writing technical sales training guides for my business.
