Ian Harding - the real Stone de Rouffignac - began writing YA fiction in the mid-1990s, after submitting his MA thesis. He became sidetracked in 2003 when he was asked to write an article for the magazine Physics Review. "The Physics of Wallace and Gromit" appeared in the September 2005 issue under his real name and many more articles followed. Ian is currently an associate editor for the magazine. He began writing fiction again in 2013, using his pen name.
Since the age of 12 Ian has had an interest in amateur dramatics. Mostly working backstage he has also acted and directed. In addition he has written three plays for schools.
