Have you read Empire of Storms? I read the bonus chapter with Chaol's story and I guess it kinda compensated for his absence in EoS but then it's like...not even the same chaol I knew from the beginning...? :/

I quit the series after QoS because that book *broke my heart*. And when I heard Chaol wasn't even in EoS, I was glad with my decision.

The author did a really bad job in putting stuff together after the third book, I felt like I was reading a completely different series.
Am I the only one who didn't like chaol ?
