An instinctive producer-director, and creative writer, with many years' professional experience in editing, asset production, and media distribution, Rich Lawden began his career in graphic design and video editing, before making the leap into Independent film production.

His 2012 directorial debut, also co-produced with Lesley Manning, and later released on DVD, now sold out, was the well-received retrospective documentary, "Ghostwatch: Behind the Curtains" chronicling the production and release of the BBC's “legendary” 'Hallowe’en Hoax', "Ghostwatch". To mark the 21st Anniversary of the programme's original broadcast, Rich authored a book on the making of Behind the Curtains, and his experiences with Ghostwatch, featuring a Foreword by acclaimed writer and author, Stephen Volk. Later, he designed and edited a full transcript, in response to requests sent in from fans and followers of the project. In 2014, he directed the short follow-up, "Behind the Table", shot on location at London Film and Comic Con. In 2017, to simultaneously honour both the show's 25th Anniversary and the project's 10th, he edited, researched, and designed a third publication, announced during a two-day anniversary celebration held in Manchester and London.

An early example of live 'Tweet-casting', the "National Séance" event, spearheaded by Rich, which has taken place annually from 2010-onwards, regularly trends on the National Leader Boards, with the most wide-reaching event in 2012 ranking as high as 4th Place, with over 190,000 users reached within twenty-four hours.

Rich has also made special guest appearances at other live events, including Horror in the East, Miniclick Duke of York's, London Film and Comic Con [Earl's Court], Gorilla [Manchester], Genesis Cinema, Birmingham Horror Con, and Sci-Fi Scarborough, and has been interviewed by Following The Nerd, Den of Geek, and Supernerds UK. ...more
