Born and raised in Ottawa, Canada, Eleanor grew up running after wild animals hoping to make new friends and playing in the swamp in the summer. That passion melded into writing about nature and animals. Although she dreamed of becoming a veterinarian, she finally earned a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Sciences and Territorial Management at the age of 44. Eleanor has worn many hats in her career: sales and purchasing agent, family-run bakery, computer shop, and machine shop. But she has always circled back to her first love of illustrating and mostly telling stories.
Eleanor now lives in Italy with her husband and three dogs.
