I can relate to this. I am a father of four with one expecting (so technically 5), and it is purely by the grace of my wife that I get to escape a few times a week to write. And the writing is so freeing, I can hardly pull myself away sometimes, even when it's been 8+ hours or more.
Excellent. What kind of genre do you write in J.L and have you managed to publish anything yet?
I write in various genres, most of which are private. I even do factual pieces from time to time. But my preferred genres are scifi/fantasy/adventure. I do have one published book and am looking forward to a second one later this year within the same series. The second book is challenging as it focuses on more than one character; so these people are needing to be fleshed out more so than they were in the first book. My wife finds it funny, because I talk about them as if they're real breathing people. In my mind they are and I often feel out how they might act in certain circumstances. This often gives the feeling that I'm recording their thoughts and actions instead of dictating them.

A second edition of it should be out sometime this year as well. Apparently the first couple chapters are difficult to get through because of sentence structuring among that and several errors made it pass about 20+ people. Luckily it doesn't persist beyond that point.
