Florence's mother died the summer she was 14 and she was left with her dad. She was friends with Elsie and her family so I don't think they were sisters.
I think I missed the reason Flo thought the fire that killed Elsie was her, Flo's fault. Can someone please enlighten me? Loved this book madly!
No they were not sisters. Florence was in love with Elsie. Who was Fred?
