Lance The best part of the book for me was also the humor. Oscar Wilde and Atkinson would have been good friends, I think. They both love a trenchant witticism.

Janet Martin But humor works best if most of the readers are in on the joke. Often these were buried in unnecessary scenes and conversations so reading along I had moments of "oops, what just happened," and had to go back to appreciate them

Wynne I counted it as her innocence. She had no information or knowledge about sex of any kind. Reminded me of my mother sharing some of her own naivety during the same era. Rang true.
