To Elisabeth: has there been any work about Hilary's children? My guess is that her son was the father of Rafael Syrtis (Rafael Hastur's paxman) and Danilo Syrtis-Ardais, meaning an unknown tie between Danilo and the Forbidden Circle group because she was such friends with Damon Ridenow and Cassilda Lanart-Carr.
Well, I think the Forbidden circle took place during Lorill Hastur's son's time, Danvan Hastur's youth, so their children would have been contemporaries. Neither Danvan nor Lorill had children immediately upon turning 20 though, I think they would have been in the 30-35 age range when their sons were born. Danvan, Felix Syrtis, Cleindori. Danvan and Felix's eldest of course were the paired Rafaels. And of course, either Leonie & Lorill's father or uncle would have been the father of nedestra Elorie Lindir, who became Camilla. Camilla of course was oath-daughter to Kindra (Rohana's friend) and Jaelle would later become the same. I think Camilla was supposed to be around 46 in Shattered Chain, but she was younger than Kindra who was of an age with Rohana, and Jaelle was probably 24-26 in SC, so maybe Camilla was actually 32-35 then? And Magda would have been 26-30 at that time. Give another 5 years for Cleindori to be born, and Magda chose to bear a child a few years after that too, so we're looking at a minimum of 30 years before Homecoming would have occurred. Jeff Kerwin would still have been in the Thendara orphanage, age 10 then, and he wasn't shipped off to Terra until age 12.
10-15 years, more like. Lorill and Leonie were 18 in Rediscovery. Leonie was 24-26 when Elorie came to her pregnant at 15, ready to have her baby and get the neutering operation. That baby is the one that Leonie tried to keep before she realized that loving a child brought down her barriers, which is why Keepers were not allowed lovers. Leonie had named the girl Ferrika. She became a Renunciate in her own right, and acted as midwife on the Alton estates at the time of the Forbidden circle.
I also have a correction for above: it was Damon Ridenow and Callista Lanart who were Hilary's friends. Cassilda Lanart-Carr was a daughter of the Forbidden circle, not a founding member.
