Ellen Collier Wonderful--can't wait to read it! I'm infatuated with the 1920s (I write Jazz Age mysteries) so hope you'll continue to also cover that era--perhaps a novel on journalist Nellie Bly, Josephine Baker, Dorothy Parker and/or Vivien Leigh or a 21st-century icon. I like that your novels seem uplifting and inspiring, even when dealing with tough issues. Many thanks and I look forward to reading about Sarah B, soon I hope! Best wishes, Ellen

Ellen Collier As an author myself, I fail to understand why readers can't separate the author from his or her subject. Seems quite a few readers are somehow blaming you for Chanel's behavior when you're simply recording the facts and interpreting them for readers. I'm surprised how they attack you and your novel for Chanel's actions--her ambition, personality and drive to succeed are what makes her so fascinating, and you describe her so well. Like most famous people, she's complicated and egotistical~and her legend makes her an icon. What do you think of their reactions?
