The book says the father started college but ran out of money, I believe. I don’t remember a thing about the mother going to college.
Tyler mentions that they both went a short time to a university. Hard to believe if they didn't have a high school education or passed a GED or ACT. I had an excellent elementary and high school education in New York City and wouldn't have traded it for anything! I also went to a CUNY school and to a German University during my junior year. I also have gotten a Master's Degree from a CUNY institution and it's not just what I learned in school and from my reading that was important, but also all the experiences I had and the people I met through those years that educated me!
The book mentions her mother at BYU, but didn’t graduate.
