Linda Thackeray Does she? or does she not mind that Hermione is being played by a black woman? Either way, its sometimes better not to make a character to racially specific to allow the audience to allow the audience to connect more personally with a character.

Peter Well it's explicitly stated in the book that she is white. I have no problem with the race of any character in any book but it feels as if she's trying to gain followers/support by making ridiculous statements such as these.

Nathaniel Maldonado i love hedwig, but not because she's white...

Linda Thackeray I don't think she's trying to gain more supporters/followers but I do think she's trying to be supportive of diversity by casting a black Hermione because really to the story, it makes no difference to the character.
