I totally agree with how you explained this. I was torn with Ryle because you wanted him to be better than what he was.
I like the ending that Ryle had, and I agree with the reason you gave him that one. I would love to see a sequel about Lily and Atlas. I think there is an interesting story there. How does their new relationship handle having Emmy and Ryle both involved?
I want to see Lilly and Atlas have a story!!
I agree. Although it's hard to fall completely out of loving Ryle in the story I think that he actually got a better ending than most men like him deserve. It's better to stop it like that.
However, I would really love it if you make a sequel about Lily and Atlas with flash back to his life after he left the marines
Thank you so much for answering my question! I just kept thinking about Ryle when I finished reading the book, but it makes more sense now and looking back, Lily did not deprived him of being with Emmy and that alone is much more than he deserved.

I would most definitely be interested in hearing more about Ryle, but you don't necessarily have to give him a happy ending. Now THAT would be an amazing read.

I think Ryle would be more messed up since he lost the love pf his life. I would rather read Atlas and Lily more since we didn't get to read much about them in their adult life

I think the hardest part to admit here is that most of us fell in love with Ryle only to be hurt with the harsh reality later. May I also share that emotional pain is worse than physical pain?

It would be amazing to have a book that gave us more insight into Lily and Atlas as they build a life together. After I finished it ends with us I was wanting more time with Lily and Atlas. I wanted to know more about Atlas’s time in the military. I wanted to know if Lily thought of Atlas more than she let on in the first book, before Ryle or even while she was with Ryle. I just wanted more time with them! I know wanting a sequel is selfish, but I can’t help but want more!
