I couldn't agree with you more. My son has even used these books for history class and has learned so much!!
Can't stand his politics but his history research is thorough. Of course, I sure his perspective comes through, sometimes. That's why we would consider this "one source' and not gospel.
These books and David McCullough are in a league of their own! I love 'em!
