In Russian 'Shnur' is a pull-cord or just cord))
Now I'm mentally adding the cat batting around a cord to this image!
Now I'm curious if there are other similarities like this with different languages...
In German Schnur is also cord, and I can't take Major Schnurr serious anymore. Imagine the last scene in EE with this picture in mind xP
