Miriam I'm not home right now, so can't check Maggie's book, but I'm pretty sure she tells it to Benjamin while explaining how horrible her mother is-that she got the idea to demand money to turn over Maggie when she saw that the Duke had adopted St Just.

Grace Surely does smell like a clunker. I should probably start a page on the website, like Dave Berry's "A sharp-eyed reader in Peoria notes..." I hope it would be a short page!

Miriam Hi again... I found it! Near the end of chapter 2, p. 78 "Their Graces bought me, you know. They'd acquired my brother Devlin the year before..."

Grace YEP... clunker. Great big old honkin'.... what a memory you must have!

Miriam I was editor of my HS newspaper, mom was a math teacher, dad was a nuclear engineer... so I can be too much of a perfectionist at times. Memory is another issue - Some things I remember forever but don't ask me what I wore yesterday!

Grace Genius must be allowed its crotchets. You sound like you could do character maps and series bibles in your sleep!

Miriam But I don't have your ability to create the characters to begin with...

Doris Lee Actually, I've just a character map of your books last night and came up with a shocking (to me) conclusion, which I'll ask about in my next question.
