I feel that although Q and TC are both somewhat dark characters, I find Q a sympathetic figure. I never felt that way about TC -- he always seemed like kind of a bastard to me, and it seemed like that was part of the point, Q has his bad qualities, certainly, but he's not unredeemable, and that makes his story more compelling and, to me, real.
