اية محمود Aya Mahmoud that doesn't answer my question, is it a good novel?

Darran Summerfield It's not an easy read, but I'm interested enough to see it through to the end.

اية محمود Aya Mahmoud you know I read to people who angered the public, Naguib Mahfouz for one, his controversial themes were necessary and he was undoubtedly the most talented storyteller of his time, so based on that, is Salman Rushdie a talented storyteller? and are his controversial themes necessary?

Darran Summerfield This is the first book of his I've read, so it wouldn't be fair for me to comment on his ability as a writer. As far as this book is concerned I find the prose difficult to penetrate, as if it has been written to be deliberately difficult to read. I would say the reader makes prose controversial not the writer, but either way this has nothing to do with the talent of the writer.

اية محمود Aya Mahmoud ok, thank you but i still need to hear the answer from someone who already read and understood this book
