Norbert Ohler is very good.
You can tell that you're well researched, your books are the first historical fiction that I've read in ages that isn't cliched and cheesey!
What about The Time Traveller's Guide to Medieval England, by Ian Mortimer, Karen? I found that one extremely informative.
