Laura I read them both several years ago and really liked them a lot. As much for the beautiful prose as for the story its self. Then I re-read them again last summer and I was in shock! So many layers... so many more threads became clear. When I finished that second read through, I felt a bit shocky. Like a plucked lute string that continued to vibrate into a great and distant other-world. I spent two weeks, unable to bare reading anything else, and feeling bereft... I turned right around and read them again. (taking notes).

Glad to hear you have them ready for reading.

Robert Yeah, Rothfuss is a great writer. I really enjoyed his books.

James All it takes is one line. :)

Heather I really like this series but I must say - I did not like that that first book was mostly someone telling a story around a campfire format. I forgave him later, though.

Jose Miguel Rothfuss is one hell of a writer; i really like his books as much as the broken empire, red queen's war

J. Rock It's not often i don't make it through a book. Name of the Wind was one of them. Boring because of the Gary Stu main character.

Samuel @laura: of you enjoyed re-reading the NotW a second time and like me felt the depth of the story was just amazing. Take a look at this website where Jo Walton actually published her reading notes and about 100 people have enriched them with their own ... A lot of hypothetical but you can make up your own mind ;)

Enjoy !
