I'm going to read God in Ruins next and find out! HOWEVER, I think that it is a flaw of sorts to leave that hanging. In order to be a complete book within itself, one shouldn't have to read the next book to find out important details. That detail seemed important and was never fleshed out in THIS book.
It is!? I am spacing...what is the explanation?
I think in God in Ruins Sylvie is thinking about having an affair but gets cold feet just as she enters the hotel. I like the explanations that Sylvie also relives her life.
I have to say that's the way I remember it.... I do like the idea of Sylvia 'time traveling' too.....although she doesn't always seem very fond of her daughter, Ursula.
