Rebecca Cain I asked my rabid-fan 11 yo this question when we listened to Chalice (nice work getting Jessie Bernstein back, btw) and she said the same thing. Sounds like she had it right!

Krystal Montcrieff so does this mean one should read chalice of the gods before starting the trials of Apollo?

Brianna van Nostrand Chalice can be a standalone, I believe. For sure you don't need to read it before Trails of Apollo. TOA came about before Chalice so you can read TOA before Chalice. Tho for Nico and Will's solo book (Sun and Star) you should read/re-read TOA because it takes place after TOA. I only realized that recently/very recently; thankfully, it was before I started to read or even had Sun and Star.

Brianna van Nostrand Trials of Apollo (TOA) * oops, my bad.

Krystal Montcrieff Thank you for the clarification!! I've read the 5 PJO and the 5 Heroes of Olympus books, but I wasn't sure on where to go next!

Brianna van Nostrand You're welcome! I've read the first three TOA books, but not the last two (I need to get on that, lol) and then Sun and Star. Plus, Chalice, whenever I can get my hands on a copy. It's on hold at my local public library, but I'm 11th in line, so it'll be a bit before I can get it from there.
