That's real advice given to people who are having trouble with the news. Just stop reading/watching it. There was a time for more than a year when I just didn't read/watch any of it, and my return was slow and careful.

You are not required to hurt yourself by watching painful things.

Genia Lukin That's an incredibly condescending response considering that some people's homes are -literally exploding-. It's nice for those of us who can afford to not "doomscroll", but for a part of us this is a reality we live in and need to stay updated with, so... possibly stop patronizing...?
