I'm halfway through and I'm with ya! I think those other people are just wanting more of the sex, which is the part I SKIP! Love the history and back story of the time. Very interesting.
@ Jennifer. I know what you mean. Not that I don't find the sex scenes intriguing. but they are a small part of my interest. I love everything about the books, the history, back story, philosophy, science, herbal medicine, etc. I love the whole package.
Maybe if more readers understood that the "politics" were actually real... as well as some of the people in the book! It is much more than a love story - it is history. I loved, loved, loved this book!!!
