Viktoria Winter SJM recent stated in a Q&A that Rowan has a significant amount of pages and POV in the next book! And I agree, I cannot wait for their reunion because we all know it will be epic ;)

Viktoria Winter Chaol also sent Celaena to Wednlyn because he was wary of her and didn't know what else she'd do in Adarlan. Meanwhile, Rowan isn't tied at the hip to anyone-even his mate- and he didn't know she was with child at the time nor that he'd be gone so long. I don't think either of them are at fault and I agree that Chaol should let celaena choose whomever she pleases even if it's rowan :)

Viktoria Winter I respect your opinion but I'm going to have to disagree. This series is about way more than just romance. In fact, compared to other YA lit, there's hardly any romance in these books. Instead, SJM focuses on character development and the makings behind revolution. There's all types of love: brotherly, family, carranam, loyalty etc. The "love triangle" was long ago resolved when Dorian resolved that he'd respect his friend and let Celaena go. Then he once again showed his moving onward by romancing with Sorscha. Celeana moved on from Chaol at the end of Heir of Fire when she threw away the amethyst ring, and Chaol is probably going to go on a journey for self-discovery (leaving no room for romance). I also think Chaol accepted the fact that the girl he onced loved is no longer around because she's now Aelin, not Celaena. Aelin, whom he doesn't even know other than by legend. And, although I don't see it to be likely, lets say Chaol and Aelin DO end up back together, I doubt Rowan will be anything less than happy for them because he just wants Aelin to be happy. He's not the jealous type. Truthfully, I believe SJM plans for Aelin to not have any love interests at all by the end of the series. That would be amazing because it shows how empowering Aelin is, not needing any man to make her character as strong and loved as she is.

Viktoria Winter True, but the other comments are only suggesting answers the the subjected questions. This entire "section" is about who we ship Aelin with. I could just as easily go to another page on Goodreads and get into debate over protagonists v antagonists :)

Bella Jean If Sam were still alive (I hope he would actually turn up somehow and said that he faked his death or something :/ ) I would totally ship him and Celaena, but without Sam, Chaol's too boring, Dorian doesn't fit Celaena; only Rowan meets the deal man..

Bella Jean And I love your idea of a reunion scene to rub in Chaol's face. That would be awesome

Maxon Smith Same, I want them to rub their reunion in Chaol's face. I was totally having a mini fantasy about it when I was finished with the scene about the Valg princes.
