Lisa Houlihan Yes, I'd like to know her reasons. I love her writing and her characters, including Maggot, but he is too major an independent character to suit a retelling.

Italiangirl I loved Maggot and found him highly important as Demon’s friend and confidant ( when young)

Amy IvanOpinion, would you consider spelling out your theory with a spoiler tag or warning? I'm fascinated by the parallels between BK's and CD's novels.

IvanOpinion SPOILERS AHOY: Amy, I just wondered if Demon would eventually realise that the true love of his life was Maggot. So, BK's equivalent of Agnes would turn out to be Maggot, not Angus.

Madeline I was thinking that it would be that way as well! I am good with the way it did end, but that would've been a really cool commentary and modernisation.
