An interesting additional fact: I don't know how it's been translated in other languages, but in French the last three letters of the collapsing text are "f.i.n." or "the end", which makes it sound quite... final.
Yes, in Italian has been translated and the last letters are "f.i.n.e." (end) , so yes you are right, it gives a very final hue!
