Yes, Nancy Drew, but read the originals published before 50s, not the ones they republished caused they changed Nancy. They didn't like how much of a feminist she was and changed the first 34 books when they republished them.
I would recommend the talent series from Anne McCaffery, the initial heroes in the Pegasus series are around her age, The sex in a Subtle mention comes in the Rowan series which follows.
