I was thinking the same regarding Verity’s telling of the car wreck in so much detail. Didn’t make sense to me that she would have to do that, being that he was supposedly there.
Also the fact that Crew told Lowen that Verity said not to discuss the details of the accident on the canoe kind of proves that she had something to hide. I mean why go to the detail of ensuring that your five year old keeps his mouth shut about the incident if you’re innocent?
I didn't even think about the description of the car wreck. You're so right though, that is such a good point!
Vian, you made me think about this book way more emotionally now. Like she knew Lowen would hunt down the letter once she learned of it.
wdym it didn’t get to lowen tho? She read it and will now have unease and uncertainty for the rest of her life.
i dont think that the manuscript was the truth. i think she actaully wrote that in order to hide her pain in pages because if a women who killed her daughter and was so cruel to the infants and who can fake her death is a no sweat to harm lowen and her husband in order to save herself but she didnt even after knowing that now lowen knows about the manuscript even she could have destroyed it earlier as she knows that is the only way to reveal what she really is. but she didnt i think she actually lost her memories and as she didnt harm lowen after getting so many chances i think the letter was right. anyways, you can never understand the mind of a writer.
