On what page would this scene be? I would be fine with my younger kid reading this if I were to block that scene out.
it's somewhere near the beginning of the second half IIRC, I won't post what part, as to not give away who,/when/where, etc -- but, also would add - it is NOT explicit - I think there was one line referencing penetration, but it was very much not graphic.
IMO (obviously you know your kids better) - if they know what sex is, it would not be something I would sensor - if they don't know what sex is, I am assuming they are young enough that they probably are not old enough to appreciate the complexity in this book either.
