I disagree. I'm not looking for "lots of fights, sex, and magic". I've read 15 books of the Malazan Book of the Fallen series and loved them, A Song of Ice and Fire, loved them, The Name of the Wind series, loved them, Dune series, loved them. To each their own I guess.
