I think why Sarah left the money to Tony was to one-up her daughter, even after death. Seems like all her motivations were so inspired. As for Veronica driving like crazy is probably because of the life she has led, everything that brought her to this moment in time. Sometimes, we do crazy shit because we don't know what else to do.
to question number one, as Tony meets Veronica he tells the reader it took him 2 months to extract the information about her full name "Veronica Mary Elizabeth Ford" Mary was one of her middle names. Hardly the greatest enigma in this book. the 500 pounds, on the other hand, still puzzle me.
500 pounds is the BLOOD MONEY. The amount paid by Tony for aborting the child to Sara, Which didnt happen
